Important: It is very loud of weekends so if you book be prepared for no sleep. The rooms are very hot, and AC is set very high and doesn’t work. When raised with staff they told us “it’s normal, deal with it even though it was 27 degrees Celsius.”

Very welcoming host and flexible.

3rd time staying here Ostello is a great location, away from the touristy areas. My husband and I chose this place, for the 3rd time because it’s in a local & quiet neighborhood. There are about 3 restaurants and a gelato place within 3 min of walking. We stayed for a week (for the 3rd time) and here’s things to consider. You won’t be getting new towels, toilet paper and change of sheets, after staying many days, unless you ask. We stayed for a week, as a family of 4, and had to ask for new towels and more toilet paper. Yes, we even bought our own toilet paper and brought our own towels. There is a laundry mat, within 5 minutes, which was useful. There were some nights where food and drinks were available to buy, but not every day.

Beds were comfy, good location. Bathroom door didn’t lock.

It turned out that the we had a terrible stay at the hostel Ostello Tasso. The staff wasn't very open to help, when we had a problem and the environment is very loud, so it was impossible to sleep well. Further they organised a party, but the music was so loud, that I couldn't sleep the whole night. When I asked for reducing the sound at 4 o'clock in the morning, the staff refused to help me. During the party I had at least also a problem with sexual harassment with one of the staff members. Be aware of that if you decide to stay at this hostel. For me: Never ever again.
