We originally booked this place because of the location and while that is a prime spot, I would caution everyone to run far and fast from this place. The internet did not work and go in to the street to use out phone, the air conditioning did not work, it was dirty, so many things wrong here. In fact, other people in the residence left to sleep alone in the airport rather than stay one night there (there were no other places available). When we complained we were told that we should not bother them and were wrong about our comments and were refused a refund. I don’t know how they got anything higher than a 2 star review (I would have given it 2 stars if the internet worked). Given difference levels of opinion, I still believe the 5 star reviews are not legitimate ones. Absolutely terrible!

The location of the hotel is simply unbeatable with its proximity to the world famous Uffizi and All'Antico Vinaio. At check-in they offer recommendations for places to visit in Florence, including the top tourist destinations and lesser-known gems, as well as some excellent neighborhood restaurants to try out. They also carefully walked us through the process of getting into the building, which is secured with two locks. However, it's worth noting that they do charge a progressively higher fee for check-ins past 6 p.m. The room is spacious with two-level space, with the bedroom located on the higher level and the living area on the lower floor. The kitchenette, small shower stall, and separate toilet area are located on the same level as the living area. Unfortunately, the sofa in the living area was dusty and triggered our allergies, causing swollen eyes and sneezing. The wifi was down during our stay, which was quite inconvenient. We informed the hotel about the issue, but it didn't get resolved during our stay. Room service is provided every other day, which we were not aware of when we made the reservation. However, the cleanliness of the room is high. Lastly, it's important to note that the hotel only accepts cash for the city tax, so be sure to have that on hand before your check-out. The location of the hotel made our stay in Florence convenient.

Great historic property, great owner! We could not get a cab to come to pick us up. Not the owners fault!

Between the dirt and the lack of internet as promised as well the total denial when bringing this to their attention, I would not stay there again.

Our room was nice and near so much to see in Florence. We happened to be in Florence June 9-15 and the parade for the annual district match passed right by and we watched the parade from our window. Great nearby coffee shops, dining, the Palazzo Vecchio, and Uffizi Gallery

Great location, spacious, clean, and comfortable Though a bit cramped. Gracious hosts. Air conditioning broken (promise to fix). On a very busy and noisy street but when you close the windows, it is quiet. But then you need the air conditioner. Quality extras.

The property is well located for walking to most of Florence and shopping and dining. The owner is, as pointed out, a very friendly and helpful person who deserves ratings above a smiley face!!!!!

Huge place for a very cheap price. Nice experience in an old structured building. The room is bigger than a 1 bedroom apar**ent. Host was nice and helpful.

The B&B is located in an old building at the busy street. It’s noisy at mid night. The carpet is not clean. Bathroom, shower and bed are clean.
