Hotel Esperanza

When you arrive you are greeted at reception by what we assumed was an african migrant ,he took our pasports ,but refused to take one of ours id card , insisted that EU id card is not a “real document” “not something you can use at airport”. We were just standing at the desk debating when probably he just doesnt understand what he is looking at. In reality service was on level you get in India when reception manager calls “boss” with landline phone with cord cut. So yeah.. *40-50 extra euros for different hotel would not put you through time wasting comedy. *couple from portugal that came right after us had same problem (id cards)

Dirty rooms, cockroaches everywhere (dead or alive), the showers are so dirty that I felt like I needed another shower after getting out of shower. I Hver tried their food as I was too afraid to get food poisoning. Location is great though. Bottom line - NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!

Upon first look, it’s a nice hotel, basics are there. Once you actually spend some time in the room, bugs are still smashed on the walls, There’s clear mold/water damage on the ceiling, the room has a funk to it, and mosquitoes are everywhere (hence the smashed bugs). The “queen” bed was two twins just thrown next to each other with some sheets over it. The only good part of this hotel was the staff, they were helpful and very sweet, plus the location is very central. I would not stay here again and I sadly don’t recommend it.
