Good budget hotel, old but enough space and amenities if you just looking for a place to sleep and not particularly picky. The building is hard to locate. Staff was friendly.

Finding the hotel location was a bit of a challenge. It wasn't the typical hotel entrance you'd think of, and there was no hotel sign, so I wandered around for a while and had a hard time getting in. When I finally got in, the door was so stiff that it wouldn't open properly, so I was really annoyed. There was no soundproofing at all. I could hear coughs and people talking in the next building. However, the breakfast was delicious. Since there were no staff members on duty, it was really hard to get directions, and even when I called, I couldn't get through.

This "hotel" shows on the trip website that the check-in time is 08:00-23:00. However, when I arrived at the hotel around 22:00 that day, I could not contact the counter and could not check in. It turns out that the hotel wrote in the remarks that the last check-in time is 19:00, and they will provide the check-in room number and password for late check-in guests. But when I used the phone number provided by trip to ask for the check-in code, the phone number couldn't be connected. In the end, I was able to check in with the assistance of other tenants. I was arranged to sleep in a room in the attic. The toilet and bathroom are not in the room, but in the corridor downstairs. In other words, the toilet and bathroom are open to anyone. And the scariest part was that the bathroom door couldn't be locked. Therefore, you need to take a shower or go to the toilet in a bathroom that anyone can enter at any time. Since I was just looking for a place to stay overnight, I thought it was ok even though the owner on google map had a bad attitude. However, I think everyone can re-evaluate whether to stay in a room under the owner's flag. "The wifi, there is a password, even if I don't know what you need, if you are visiting a city like Florence, you don't need a wifi. I'm glad you will read your salesman and my answer, future customers will laugh at what you wrote. !!! The reception is not available all day, only in the morning, we are a B&B and it is not a HOTEL !!!!" cited from google map La Corte dei Principi .

"Avoid This Place – Disappointing Stay in Florence" Our stay in Florence was a huge disappointment. This place felt more like an abandoned house than a hotel—no staff around, no service, and a generally unfriendly atmosphere. Breakfast only starts at 8 AM, so we couldn’t have it since most tours start earlier. The kitchen amenities were lacking (no working kettle!), and there was no hot water in the shower. They also charge 7 euros per person per day as a city tax, with very little in return. If you're traveling to Florence, I’d strongly suggest looking elsewhere for a comfortable and welcoming stay. This place isn’t worth the rating and definitely doesn’t meet expectations for a good trip.

Arrived at the guesthouse as it is not a hotel yesterday 15th Nov 23 around 3.30pm. Where the doorbell is was a note to call for check in. The management assumes whoever is checking in has a phone. My husband buzzed every bell in the building and someone let us in. When we got to the front door of the rooms we rang the bell, again no answer. There was a combination entry so my husband punched in a bunch of 4 digits and was lucky enough to find one that opened the door. The place was completely abandoned, no receptionist no management. We picked up the phone at reception to call someone to come and check us in and give us a room. Again no answer. Fortunately the rooms were available and open so we chose the smallest one as it felt the warmest. It's mid November and no heating is on anywhere! The management arrived the next morning I complained I was cold and they put the heating on for 10 minutes to appease me and switched it back off. Shortly after they disappeared and were never seen again. I asked a guest to call them and ask if they could put the heating on. The guest told me it will come on at 10pm it was 6.30pm at the time. I am writing at 10.30pm no heating. I am absolutely freezing we are using the hairdryer to warm up the bed. My toes are numb. The 1st night we arrived the CCTV never moved, once they realised we had let ourselves in and we're black people it moves as soon as we leave our room. If they had checked the camera's the day before they would have seen we got into the property and come down to check us in. I will be informing the hotel regulation board that they are running a "hotel" but are not physically present and not providing basic amenities such as heat in winter.

The hotel entrance is completely hard to find. It was daylight, so the door was opened by the intercom on the street door, and we went inside and were able to go to the second floor where the reception was, but I don't think I would have been able to find it at night. It feels like a private lodging. We had dinner outside, and when we returned after 7 o'clock, we encountered a confused traveler at the door. We were there, so we were able to guide them to the reception, but there was no one there, and there was just a piece of paper with a phone number. The lampshade in the room was torn. The breakfast was just average continental.

Beautiful place. The breakfast was very complete, varied and delicious. Excellent service. Very comfortable, clean and quiet. Close to the station, although a little far from the center. The area is very quiet and has several shops nearby where you can get food and drink.
