Planning a family vacation can be a daunting task, especially when trying to balance comfort, convenience, and luxury. During our recent stay at Hotel Bernini Palace, we discovered a gem that seamlessly provided all three, making our five-day, four-night visit an absolute delight. Arrival and First Impressions From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. As we pulled up to the hotel, we were greeted with warm smiles and swift service. The lobby, with its well-decorated seating area and chic bar to the left, immediately impressed us. The hotel, having once been a palace, has maintained many of its original features which gives it a luxurious feel with old world charm. Room Description Knowing the typical size of European hotel rooms, we opted for a duplex room for our family. Let me say that the room exceeded our expectations. The room as you would expect was 2 floors. It was spacious, tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean. You entered into a foyer with a seating area. The main bedroom off the foyer had a king bed and large luxurious marble bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet and bidet and high-end toiletries. Also off the foyer was a staircase that led to the second bedroom which had a queen size bed and another beautiful full bath. Traveling as a family of four, we were very pleased with the size of the room and layout. It enabled us to spread out our luggage, get some rest after long days touring the city and live comfortably in the room for 5 days. It was especially enjoyable that our kids could have a space upstairs that was theirs and for part of our trip we had our own space to enjoy as well.. Service Quality The staff at Hotel Bernini deserves special recognition. The impressive service and attentiveness began long before we arrived on the property. The concierge emailed back and forth multiples times a week during our planning to fine tune day trips from Florence and tours within the city. They were able to give us new ideas and ways to make our family trip easy and appropriate for the kids. Their hospitality and professionalism made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Marcelo, Lorenzo and Matteo at the front desk and concierge all spoke excellent English and were there to assist us with anything that came up during our stay. Lorenzo, who assisted us before our trip, was instrumental in recommending and reserving family-friendly restaurants and activities. When we decided to make some changes on the fly, he effortlessly handled everything, allowing us to fully enjoy our time in Florence. We were set up with first class tour guides and transportation that made touring the city and beyond really memorable. Upon arrival to our room we were given a welcome gift of a box of delicious Italian chocolates. During our stay the housekeeping staff did an exceptional job. From the room cleanings to turn down service they took care of all the details. We enjoyed the small box of chocolates that were l
