I think this is a hotel that is missing out on its appearance. You might think it's a strange hotel because of its very busy exterior. The interior is very clean and the hotel is very comfortable. The common space is large and there are vending machines, which is very convenient. The other guests have a high level of civility, and many of them are well-mannered and have common sense. You won't have to worry about unwanted guests. Hotels in central Florence can be extremely expensive. There are many facilities that are not worth the price. Personally, even if it takes a little more time to travel, I felt it would be better to start from this hotel.

Best Western Plus CHC Florence has the best, friendliest, kindest employees, probably in the world. The breakfast is excellent, a buffet with great variety and service. The rooms are comfortable, well stocked, and very clean. The area is lively and convenient, has lots of choices for transportation, dining, and many businesses. It's about 5 minutes from the airport by car, and 2 stops by public transportation My mom happened to have an emergency while we were staying at BW for vacation, which forced me to extend my stay for 19 days. Even though the hotel was full, front desk staff accommodated me, and helped me in every way they could with tips, directions, everything I needed. Employees from the restaurant even took me out to dinner on my birthday. The room was clean but my room was 19 square meters, but it didn't feel so big, and I booked a double bed but found that it was a combination of two single beds.

I am not writing this type of reviews often, but unfortunately this time I have to in order to reflect the reality about this hotel. Prior to this hotel we stayed at another hotel in Rome also 4-star that we really enjoyed (price level and distance from city center was similar). Firstly, I would like to point out that this hotel, even though it has 4 stars, cannot be considered to be a European-level 4-star hotel at all, at maximum a refurbished 3-star hotel. Given the price and its location, I would like to tell you straight, it is quite expensive for what you get, especially given the further circumstances described below. Secondly, I have not read many negative reviews regarding the noise level, but would like to shed some light on that. Even though we asked for a quiet room, we got the room facing the hotel parking and front road. I cannot say that there was a lot of noise from the road, but you could definitely hear cars from the road. But the biggest problem is the noise insultaion, or more precisely its complete absence. We could hear our neighbours talking in the other room like they were in our room. Our neighbours were awake until late night and we could hear them receiving messages while chatting on the phone and it seemed like the phone was vibrating each time near your ear. There was also noise from outside and other neighbours (it was partially not clear where it was coming from), so overall an awful experience also given the fact that each room has roller blinds and some people are using them at night and each time you can hear the mechanism working (it is quite loud). When people flush in other rooms, it sounds like it starts raining heavily. To sum up, insulation is really bad. Thirdly, the room was furbished at the level of refurbished 3-star hotel, the old hairdriers from the 20th century, only one card key, thus you cannot leave the AC on when you leave the room. Room was not ventilated at all once we arrived, so it was very hot to sleep and smell was not very pleasant. Breakfast at the level of 3-star hotel maximum and they do not let people finish their breakfast telling at 9:55am that you have to leave in 5 minutes since the breakfast time ends at 10am. As a cherry on the tart, when we were leaving we were told that the water in the room was not complimentary when we arrived, even though we did not found anywhere information with pricing of water in the room. When I asked where we could find price list for water in the room, as I belive it should be clearly placed in a visible spot, the person at reception firstly insulted us in Italian (not knowing that we speak Italian) and then just answered arrogantly ”it is in the room”, showing that he does not want to speak with us. Unbelievable and unacceptable behaviour from staff, you are paying them for being treated in such a manner... Overall, I understand that Florence is an expensive and crowded city, but in this instance when we unfortunately had only extremely negativ

Hotel Alinari is in a very convenient location just steps from Santa Maria Novella Station and only a short walk to the Central Market and numerous reasonably priced restaurants. It’s location might be off putting to some people as there is no huge lighted sign on the street telling you it’s there. You have to look for a much smaller sign in the street and elk into the ground level courtyard to see that it’s on the 4th floor. Take the elevator up to 4 but you might have to wait for it a bit. Patience pays off though as the proprietor and all of his staff are friendly and eager to help. Breakfast is substantial enough served by more friendly employees. I arrived with my septuagenarian parents on April 27 for a week-long stay. The hotel provided us with the right room classification on arrival, but I was concerned that the suite was single bathroom instead of two and the closet space was not optimal for our needs. Annamaria, Victoria and Samuele stand out as front office staff who listened and acted swiftly to help address our request for help and resolved the issue the next day. That was the first wow moment of our stay. I also recommend the breakfast (came with our reservation package) and you should take advantage of the Rooftop Bar, the view of the Duomo and across the city 360 degress is suberb. After 10+ visits to Florence, this hotel has become my new preferred location and I anticipate returning here in the years to come.

The room has a sense of design. Although it is not very big, it is very warm and comfortable. The only problem with this room type is that it is on the half floor and needs to go down a very narrow staircase. There are still several steps in the room. Big boxes are very unfriendly! The breakfast is still very good, you can sit outside and feel it.

I can’t rave enough about our stay here at Riva Lofts! My husband and I absolutely love Florence & have been several times, but Riva Lofts gave us a new experience that was intimate, immersive and experiential. Our superior loft was the perfect size for us two, and breakfast served at the restaurant every morning was a great way to start our day (special shout-out to Giovanna for always being so sweet!). We took part in a private cooking class with chef Michele and we learned how to make a 4-course meal, including two pastas (we bought a pasta machine online after, if that’s any indication as to how much we enjoyed it). We dined at the on-site restaurant helmed by chef Michele multiple times and it was an elevated, fine dining experience in a nice, casual environment (so you didn’t have to dress up to the nines). We also booked a wine tour through the hotel that included a private driver, who brought us to two historic towns and two wineries. Finally, the location is out of the city center, but in a good way! We felt more like locals (although everyone at the hotel spoke English, but we did try to speak Italian which seemed appreciated!). Other recommended restaurants were about a 20-25 min walk, however, a tram that took you to the city center was easy to use and a short walk away (getting you to the Florence train station within minutes). Overall, it was a peaceful, romantic retreat with activities sprinkled in, wonderful public spaces (both indoor and outdoor) and the staff at Riva who couldn’t have been nicer. You won’t regret staying here!

Stayed at YellowSquare Florence for 2 nights and had a fun time! Hostel was very social and had activities every day! We arrived before check-in and luggage storage was free which was different among many other hostels we stayed in. Staff was super nice and remembered me by name! There was a rooftop pool which was super fun and clean, so definitely bring a swimsuit if you’re coming during the warmer months! Rooms and showers were clean and spacious and not too far of a walk from city center. Definitely recommend staying here!

This hotel is a little ways a way from Florence which was what we were looking for. Its in the Novolli suburbs but is still close enough to visit Florence which is what we did. You can ride the Tram from the Train Station, when exiting the train station walk across the street and turn left from there you will see the tram and can buy your ticket at the kiosk 1.50 Euro a ticket and its good for 90 minutes. Take the T2 Line and get off at the San Donato Stop, its approx a 5 minute walk from there to the hotel. We checked in early and our room was ready, we booked a king deluxe so it was a nice spacious room on the corner with 2 windows, lovely. Room was nice and clean. Room had A/C that was nice and cold.Only a few complaints the tub/shower sucks, its a bathtub with a rainfall head and also a bath tub faucet with hand shower, its hard to keep water off the floor with the design and I kept stepping on the drain plug and bumping my leg on the bath fixture, just a poor design, however the water was nice and hot and had good pressure. They also desperately need a bathroom vent it was so steamy we had to shower with the bathroom door open so we didn’t suffocate. The bathroom itself is large which is nice but one of the most poorly lit bathroom, had to do my make up in the bedroom. Beds were also a bit hard and firm. Nice little affordable hotel away from the hustle and bustle, just needs a little bathroom update
