Best Hotels near Chiesa di San Martino a Montughi, Florence

I had problems trying to find a hotel in Florence at short notice and ended up booking a room at this hotel. First I should explain that this hotel is on the second and third floor of a building. I was given a room by the stairs, which by the way are made of wood I think, so the noise of people going up and down was terrible. There is a lift, but it will only take you from the ground floor to the reception, so if you have a suitcase and you are given a room on the third floor, you have to drag it up the stairs, near to where my room was. My room was big enough, with 2 single beds, and a bathroom almost the same side of the room, painted in red! and very dark, even with the light on. The room and bathroom were clean and my linen and towels were changed every day. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice, eggs, cereal, fresh fruit, cheese, cold meat, etc. Unfortunately the reception area was dirty. There are 2 or 3 settees with a material cover, which has not been washed for some time. The location of this hotel is excellent. 15 mns to the Duomo and 30 mns to the Ponte Vecchio. The guys at the reception were very helpful, polite and one of them, on the night shift, (regrettably I did not ask his name) never stopped smiling. Great service. Would I recommend this hotel? Yes but make sure you are giving a room away from the stairs.

Essendo un hostello il rapporto qualità prezzo delle camere con bagno non è adeguato, il bagno infatti è un wc chimico e in camera assolutamente inaccettabile la presenza di numerose zanzare che rendono impossibile il sonno.

Best Western Plus CHC Florence has the best, friendliest, kindest employees, probably in the world. The breakfast is excellent, a buffet with great variety and service. The rooms are comfortable, well stocked, and very clean. The area is lively and convenient, has lots of choices for transportation, dining, and many businesses. It's about 5 minutes from the airport by car, and 2 stops by public transportation My mom happened to have an emergency while we were staying at BW for vacation, which forced me to extend my stay for 19 days. Even though the hotel was full, front desk staff accommodated me, and helped me in every way they could with tips, directions, everything I needed. Employees from the restaurant even took me out to dinner on my birthday. This was my first hostel experience on my own and it was soooo good! I felt very safe, staff super friendly, the room and common areas had everything you could ever need! Locker in the room was huge... I had enough space to keep all my things safe, but you need to bring your own padlock (maybe the hostel could make that clear on the booking? although I was prepared, another lady in the room was not ;)). Location great, very close to station (but far enough away that it wasn't a problem....), very close to the sites, restaurants and bars. I would happily return to an Ostello Bello! Grazie

Housed in a beautiful old building in a very central location. The character of the building has been well maintained in the public areas and our suite had lovely contemporary decor which mixed perfectly with the 18th century painted ceiling. Within easy walking distance of all the main attractions and plenty of restaurants and cafes. Great value for money. But best of all has to be the amazing staff - extremely friendly, patient and courteous and nothing was too much trouble for them. Would definitely recommend this wonderful hotel.

The front desk is on the second floor! ! ! The location is OK, 15 minutes walk from the city center, but there are no shops around. The room is super small, especially the bathroom is super small and the room is high. The window is old green, I personally feel very good-looking. Sound insulation is average, but the surrounding area is very quiet (Hahaha will have birds in the morning. The ecology is too good, but there are mosquitoes in early May...) Breakfast is on the roof, you can see the scenery; just Italian breakfast, no bacon and sausage...

I stayed at the San Giorgio for two nights with my girlfriend, as we were in town for her birthday. I was already positively impressed when I booked, because the price was great for such a central hotel; obviously, however, a low price can be a double-edged sword, so when we got there (following a 3-minute walk from the Santa Maria Novella train station) I was a little wary of potential issues with the place – lo and behold, my misgivings were almost entirely baseless. I mean, I'm not gonna lie, the place isn't high-end: it's a little too dark and heavy on curtains/draperies, the toilet in our room was too close to the wall so that it couldn't be opened fully, and the Wi-Fi on the fourth floor was dodgy at timea. What we found, on the other hand, was a very tight-knit staff that was always kind and available, even before our check-in and after our check-out. Moreover, our bed was remade and our towels were replaced every morning, something I don't take for granted in a 3-star hotel. Finally, the 7:30 breakfast was nothing too fancy but did its job very well, especially thanks to the waiters who were always ready to greet newcomers and to offer coffee. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised (I know I sound condescending but my praise is genuine) and I would definitely come back if I were in town for a short period of time.

The hotel is within walking distance from the Cathedral/ historical city. The hotel has parking space available that needs to be booked in advance. We had big room with view on the garden. It was quite, nice and clean. The room we had has also kitchenette. If next time in Florence I will first try to book room in this hotel.

Delicious, varied breakfast, although the coffee is a bit weak for Italian. Good location, 15 min walk to the cathedral. The room is well soundproofed, there is no noise from the street. Comfortable bed, extra blanket for a cold night. Quick check-in On the minus side - the staff entered the room before 10 without knocking, there was no cable in the shower - only the top one, it was difficult to rinse off or just wash your head. I would point out to the staff that check-out is until 12, they should knock on the room!
