Hotels Near Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Flower in Florence

It wasn't a Duomo Cathedral view, but it's in front of you. The entrance is on the street? It's next to Mr. Pizza, which I didn't see well because it was covered in the same thing !! There is a clean kitchen, so I went to the nearby Korean Mart and bought ramen and boiled it and ate it :) Clean every day, fruit, walk to Cruise every morning without breakfast. It's like a lounge on the fourth floor and the first floor !!

I personally like it better, facing the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, and going out is the queue 😄. Within 1 km of the surrounding area, there are many attractions, many restaurants, and many shops. If you are tired, go back to the hotel and rest before you come out to continue. Very convenient! The hotel service is very good, the front desk is small, but you must answer any questions, there are people on duty 24 hours, everything will be resolved immediately. There is also a 24-hour beverage bar, coffee and tea sparkling water, cookies, and sweet wine before going to bed. You can pick it up at any time. The funniest thing is to wear it in pajamas. Although the facilities and equipment are flawed, they are pretty good. They have everything and there is an elevator, but up to three people, the room is small, the bed is good enough to sleep comfortably, but the luggage cannot be spread out. The bathroom is also small, so you have to be slower and slower when you take a bath. The breakfast is ok, just a normal Italian hotel breakfast, not very rich but it has everything. There are not many rooms, it should be 16-20 rooms, so when booking a room, it is recommended to book the best room, the view is very good, the window opens to the cathedral, and the room with a terrace is on the other side.

Malfunctioning sockets pose a challenge for guests needing to charge electronic devices, and the inconsistent water pressure in the showers is another inconvenience. Moreover, the presence of unidentified machinery noise during the night has been reported by guests, impacting sleep quality and causing annoyance. Overall, Hotel S.Giorgio & Olimpic offers a pleasant stay with its convenient location, vintage charm, and attentive staff. However, addressing issues such as room maintenance, amenities, and noise disturbances would enhance the guest experience further.

Generally the hotel is ok. Only praise is to the reception staff, Mr Chandan who is patiently advise us on all info on florence. He was on duty mostly during our 4 days stay as claimed another staff is off for vacation. We thank him for his friendliness and smiling faces all the time

Traveled to Florence before COVID and stayed here I came back to Florence this year to travel again and had to book this hotel again. Great location, service and the room condition were great. I traveled alone and they assigned me to a single room that is located right next to the emergency exit in the beginning. And it was really loud since people were coming in and out. I asked the reception to change the room and they assigned me to cleaner and quieter single room. Very much appreciated.

Small hotel but excellent location. Just next to the train station and walking distance to many attractions. Cons: able to feel and hear coming trains.

I stayed for a few days and was most satisfied with the restaurant service. I was impressed by the superb working ability of the female supervisor, who was very efficient. What was valuable was that she could do it herself and was very skillful. The room service was a little regrettable. After staying for one day, they did not prepare water for cleaning. The bathroom had a little smell of sewer. It was not a big problem if the door was closed. In addition, I heard the vigorous work outside the door early in the morning every day. Don't you consider the feelings of the guests? It would be better if they were a little gentler. As for the location, it is quite close to the train station, but it still takes 20 minutes to walk to the main scenic spots⬆️.

This is undoubtedly one of the best hostels I have stayed in in Italy and I’ll tell you what happened. Basically I was quite late to check in and checked in only at around 6:45 pm in the evening and initially the room I was offered had only upper beds left and all the lower berths had been occupied. Gaia at the reception was so kind  she actually looked up all the rooms available and suggested after almost looking up for 30 minutes as to where she could place me as I did not want to sleep on an apple bed she gave me another room which was room number 13 and I had originally booked for an eight bedroom but I paid a little bit extra to get into this four bedroom and I was very happy because the room was speaking span. There was ample space and bathroom and toilet was separate which meant it could be used by two people at the same time, conveniently, especially in the mornings when people are in a rush and the plug points were very ideally placed! I loved staying here and even paid €10 for a very fancy breakfast! I’d love to come here again.

The structure was inaugurated a month ago, more or less. I strongly recommend you go to their official website and sign up, download their app from the store. By signing up, you will become a member of the Blue club and will have access to discounts of up to 20% and various privileges. After 5 reservations, on the website and on their app, within 12 months you become a & o hostel club plus. With discounts of up to 25% and other various advantages, listed on their website. I stayed for a month so I can make a complete review, I think. I tried both the 4 and 6-bed rooms to sleep, structured on well-made bunk beds all in steel. Comfortable mattresses, the only thing is the covering is a bit viscous and makes rumlrye even at night, but it's not a big deal. I found the 4-bed rooms better (very spacious, the ones on the right when you exit the elevators numbers X01 -X10, X is the floor number). Both types of rooms have private bathrooms. The larger ones have two bathrooms, with shower and sink, the other with sink and toilet, without bidet. Intelligently very comfortable since there are 4 in 6 if the one with the shower is occupied you can easily go to the other to maximize time. The structure is 7 floors, plus a floor -1 floor, where the large served dining room is located, the kitchen where guests can cook for themselves, toilets and more. It is not perfect, there are some small shortcomings here and there, distributed in various sectors more often due to rude customers, than the structure, but overall I absolutely recommend it. I was fine, also because the staff is competent, polite, always available to solve the customer's problems. I thank the director of the facility for having treated me with kid gloves from the beginning and for having resolved disputes with other users who were tenants of my same rooms for reasons of rudeness.
