Hotel Miceli - Civico 50
4.2/550 Reviews
Florence Historic Center
Our travel agent booked us and our friends here for three nights in July. We LOVED the location, the air conditioned rooms, the lounge where we waited for the outside heat to cool down, and most of all we loved the wonderful staff members Silvia and Matilde, who went above and beyond to help us and were so friendly and welcoming (even offering us free wine and chips in the evening!). They did so much to assist us, can't say enough about them. Having said all that, this hotel is not for everyone. The elevator is tiny, as per many European buildings. The shower stalls are also tiny and not suitable for people who are more than average-sized. And accessing the hotel involves downloading an app that can be complicated to figure out (and of course, you need to be at least somewhat cell phone-savvy to be able to handle all of that. I'm fairly adept at apps but this one had me confused for quite a while). But if you're OK with these caveats, consider this hotel. It's budget friendly, clean and central!
Palazzo Alfani - Residenza d'Epoca

The landlord, Francesca, is very nice, like Tinkerbell's Treasure Bag, responsive, and what you need to ask her is faster than searching on the Internet by yourself. 😀 The day I left was because it was a night flight, and the room was not full that day. He waited until I went to the airport in the afternoon before checking out. The house is big enough, and the bed is big enough and comfortable. At the door is the Academy of Fine Arts where you can see David's sculpture. The location is very convenient to go to attractions such as the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Flores, Uffizi Gallery and Old Bridge, which are only a few minutes to ten minutes' walk away. The only minor drawback is that the bath water is not hot enough and not big enough. Fortunately, the heating is sufficient. If you turn on the heating and take a bath, you won't catch a cold.
Residenza Conte di Cavour & Rooftop

The staff were super nice, and helpful. And the view from the rooftop was also nice! The room was just a little bit bothersome since it was next to the boiler.
San Giuliano Inn

Where to begin... yes it is not exactly cheap, but you will sleep almost right in the middle of Firenze in tastefully and cozy refurbished ”it used to be an apartment” b&b. There are many other details making the price reasonable. Coffee, tea, fruits, beverages and pastries in the shared kitchen, helpful and attentive staff (cheers Bryan) or the fact that every room has its little corridor so your room is behind two doors from the hallway which means San Giuliano Inn have one of the quietest rooms I have ever stayed in. There are so many amazing spots nearby, just to point out some of them: great coffee in Simbiosi Coffee or filled ciabattas in SandwiChic on the opposite side of the street or amazing food (gluten and lactose free as well) just a few steps away in lovely Il Desco Bistrot or have a glass of wine in cosy Vineria Sonora on your evening way back to this great accommodation. Only recommendation I would have for the owners: With all those nice decorations and furniture which make your b&b pleasant and unique, It might be needet to pay more attention to vacuum and dust cleaning.
Il Guelfo Bianco

20❤️’s out of 5! The two most important comments I can share about Hotel il Guelfo Bianco are: 1) the wonderful staff - from the front desk, to the kitchen staff, to the cleaning staff - they were so kind and generous and they all spoke Italian, English, and Spanish AND 2) the hotel’s proximity to everything (the hotel is 1 block from the Duomo, 10 minute walk to the train station, 5 minute walk to the Mercato Centrale, and there is a wonderful national convenience store just across the street (water, snacks, food). Our room was huge, faced directly onto the street, and had a floor to ceiling door/window that opened to allow for fresh air. The door had four coverings - shutters, two glass doors, and a wooden door which allowed for a quiet night’s sleep. I booked a room for 3, we were provided with a king bed and a couch that pulled out to a second king bed - excellent. The bedding was white, laundered, had no stains and smelled fresh. Our bathroom had a full tub, shower with great pressure and lots of hot water, toilet, bidet, sink and nice big clean white body towels as well as four small European towels. Our room was cleaned daily. Be sure to include breakfast! It was a wonderful start to our day. Breads, cereal bar, yogurts, fruits, eggs (scrambled and hard boiled), meats, cheeses, fruit juices, water, hot tea, and the best coffee in town!

I can highly recommend this hotel. I arranged an art-tour to Florence with a group of 12 persons. Loggiano dei serviti hotel was amazing. Very good location only 10 minutes walk to the cathedral and Galleri Accademia. Very clean, quiet and cozy hotel. Nice breakfast and very friendly and service minded staff. A special thanks to Barbara who was so smiling, helpful and service minded! She fixed tickets and everything I asked for. Absolutely amazing service! I have been in Florence many times and Hotel Loggiano dei serviti will be my favorite hotel in Florence. Thank you so much from my whole group! Arrivederci 😍
