We were greeted by a friendly, helpful English-speaking young man and were both provided rooms in a house/annexe 75 yards from the hotel reception. The evening meal was reasonable, but we were disappointed that the restaurant was not open every night, which resulted in us walking into the town centre to seek a takeaway (kebab or pizza). Breakast was a limited continental fayre. Parking was good with an undercover facility if required. The proprietor was helpful and drinks from the bar to take onto the terrace were available when the restaurant was open. Would have considered a higher rating if the room was not as basic and dated as it was, with no air-conditioning (should that have been required). There was an error with our bill where we were charged for food items that we had not ordered!! We could not find where that error had occurred.

We had not booked a room and were pleased that the hotel was able to accommodate us at short notice. Our room was large with a good sized bathroom and very comfortable. We were disappointed that we were unable to dine at the restaurant - I had assumed that tables would be available for hotel guests. We had had a long day and did not want to have to find somewhere else, and the hotel was unable to offer any alternative eating places. We eventually found another resaurant and had one of the best meals of our holiday. I would rfecommend booking ahead if you wnat to stay & eat at this hotel. Breakfast was buffet style and plentiful. Florac is a beautiful village and I'd love to return to explore more.

We spent one night in Florac at the start of a road trip in the South of France. Whilst research told us there was a restaurant in the hotel, when we arrived it was closed. We walked into the town for dinner and had a stroll around. We were given a very large but strangely configured room which was very quiet and comfortable. Hotel served a standard breakfast in the dining room. Good value for money.

The hotel is old, seems like it stayed on from the 80s, except for the shower. Just the shows, not the rest of the bathroom. Service was adequate and the hotel was clean and well taken care of. We stayed for two nights with a group and also had our meals and a very good and abundant picnic bag for one day trip. I recommend it for what it is: a local hotel that serves it purpose with. certain dignity and efficiency.

Go your way! The photos on the website are tempting but once you arrive, what a disappointment. The hotel is dusty and dilapidated, an unpleasant smell has permeated the place. For a moment I thought I was in the Hotel Overlook from the movie Shinning 🙃 The manager has no sense of customer service. Arriving at 3:30 p.m. we ask for a packed lunch for the next day. The latter tells us that this is not possible and that we should have placed an order before noon. Practical knowing that we had an 8 hour walk to get there. On the other hand, we must admit that the restaurant is quite good, especially the aligot sausage. On the other hand, breakfast is uninteresting. I don't think I've ever had such bad coffee.

The rooms are from the old days, very poorly soundproofed, the parquet floors creak, we were in the annex building. Breakfast is reasonable. The person at reception is not very pleasant.

We stayed in room 207 until September 2 in the morning for 3 nights. The restaurant part, nothing to say, it's serious, the chef sends the quality on the plate, bravo to him. On the other hand, at the hotel level, it is catastrophic. In fact, as soon as we entered the room, all the slats of the floating floor came off to such an extent that we had difficulty opening the door! But the problem is that the whole floor is ruined, it buckles everywhere (I attach photos to my comment) in short, I logically ended up with a foot injury. We also had company in the room since the spiders were among us with their webs (see photo). And I can continue a long list: broken tiles in the bathroom, an old bathtub without even a shower curtain and the pinnacle is the big soundproofing problem, you can hear what is happening in the bathroom of the 206 .And the slamming doors in the hallway! I was busy at reception with an adorable but very tired lady (you surprise me, we find the evening catering staff the next morning... where are the 11 hours of work between the end and the start of service?) the owner was far away in the park smoking. He doesn't seem very concerned about customer problems, no commercial gesture after this catastrophic series. The hotel's website is a dream, swimming pool (we learned on site that it is not heated) luxury cars but only on the site... in short the label does not correspond to the product
