Last weekend we were with 3 families and stayed for 2 nights at the Thüringer Hof in Struth-Helmershof. Everything was perfect, the hotel is beautifully furnished, the rooms are modern and comfortable at the same time, some of them had a balcony. The hotel has very good food, we had a delicious dinner and the breakfast buffet is top class! We would especially like to thank the Kirschner family and the entire hotel team - you don't get such service very often these days! We can absolutely recommend the Thüringer Hof, and will definitely come back ourselves - the Thuringian Forest is always worth a trip.

+ Good location, + appealing first impression on arrival + first-class cuisine, you have to look for it for a long time - really outstanding + small but very fine breakfast buffet in a really nice setting + attentive service - unfortunately the room facing the street was very noisy, we had booked the middle category, it looked different to the photos. - We didn't like the dining room where dinner was served for the overnight guests, we felt like we were sitting at the regulars' table right next to the bar - a note that the Sky connection advertised everywhere doesn't work would have been nice.

Can only be recommended, great value for money. Very good food. Service staff is extremely warm and friendly. Quiet location. Both the breakfast room and the guest room have been very tastefully renovated in recent years. We had a large balcony room with a new bathroom. The hotel room was not newly renovated, but very well maintained and clean. Sufficient parking spaces at the hotel.

Unser Zimmer war gross und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, mit Aussicht auf viel Grünes und die Berge im Hintergrund. Es hat gerade geschneit sodass die Urlaubsatmosphäre perfekt war. Für mich waren die Matratzen ein wenig zu weich aber das ist Geschmackssache. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und die Bedienung wie überall im diesem familiengeführtes Hotel äusserst zuvorkommend. Das Abendessen bot ein vielfältiges Angebot an Fleisch, Fisch und vegetarische Gerichte. Eine thüringische Spezialität hat besonders gut geschmeckt, Schäufele heisst es und selten habe ich ein so zartes Schweinefleisch gegessen. Selbstverständlich als Beilage die köstlichen thüringischen Knödel.
