Our room was large and very tastefully decorated, with a view of the greenery and the mountains in the background. It had just snowed so the holiday atmosphere was perfect. The mattresses were a little too soft for me but that's a matter of taste. The breakfast was excellent and the service, as everywhere in this family-run hotel, was extremely courteous. The evening meal offered a wide range of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. A Thuringian speciality tasted particularly good, it's called Schäufele and I have rarely eaten such tender pork. Of course, the delicious Thuringian dumplings were served as a side dish.
