We arranged to meet friends somewhere halfway between our homes,Flitwick fitted the bill. We booked afternoon Tea. We were early but all the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. The room we had tea in, was not large, but had comfortable settees in front of a warm fire. Which gave a nice atmosphere. There was a good assortment of finger sandwiches and cakes including scones, creme brûlée and clotted cream. We had several pots of tea and coffee/cappuccinos. We were not charged for the extra coffees. We felt the Afternoon tea was very good value. The hotel could do with a little TLC in some area, and the very deep potholes just inside entrance gates! Could do with filling in. But the staff and value for the quality of food, was good enough for a return visit.

Coming to this hotel is like coming home! I return due to the amazing, welcoming staff who go over and above to make sure everyone feels comfortable and looked after. From checking in to meal service nothing asked is too much trouble. The rooms are clean and spacious and comfortable. In lovely surroundings is a bonus.

Loved the hotel. Check in was easy. The rooms are lovely and spacious as well as being clean. All the staff were nice, polite and friendly. We had sandwiches in the bar which were lovely and thr breakfast we added the night before for 12.50 and the breakfast was amazing and tasted great. I'm definitely booking again

Really lovely staff who made our stay very enjoyable! Great hotel in a wonderful location, nice rooms and breakfast was outstanding! Restaurant was very good and the lady who served us, like the receptionists, could not do enough to make us feel welcomed. Thank you from both of us.

Other than the room being an icebox, downstairs was lovely and warm and welcoming. The food could do with a but more flavour and imagination. I shall return in Spring to hopefully see than grounds in all its glory. The place is a little run down and certain need a refurbishment.

Returned to this beautiful hotel after moving to the south coast 10yrs ago. It is still absolutely amazing. Gorgeous rooms, elegant service and a romantic atmosphere in this historic building. Food is inspired and delicious and good value.

Fantastic. Greeted by a friendly and cheerful lady who then personally shows you to your room. Restaurant and bar staff friendly and nothing g too much trouble (Emilia) lovely girl and then breakfast in the morning sun again very friendly lady serving breakfast. Felt like you knew everybody. Rooms beautiful and food great. Would recommend
