My partner Booked this spa hotel purely on fact that he was booked on a boat fishing competition trip in Weymouth which coincided with my birthday (5/12/24) & so thought he better had book me into a local spa hotel for me to enjoy & pamper myself while he was on his jolly with his fishing mates! We wouldn’t normally choose a hotel specifically geared up for young families & we had not heard of the LFH chain before! I had my reservations on our way down! However loved the look of the hotel & grounds from my google search after he told me where we were staying! On arrival we were very pleasantly surprised by the exterior & interior of the main hotel The very friendly receptionist informed us that we had been upgraded! ( great start) and insisted on carrying our luggage ( all 3 holdalls) i dont pack light” ) to our deluxe double room called Lutyens in FleetHouse adjacent to hotel & overlooking the Fleet/lagoon! ( amazing) Couldn’t contain my excitement when we got in room! Massive room, inc small fridge, pod coffee maker, kettle massive bed(super king) lounge, log fire & patio doors look8ng out onto the fleet/lagoon Bathroom had Separate glass free standing shower cubicle with huge rain shower head ( so powerful) & free standing roll top bath! The birthdays have begun! We were booked in for 2 nights during Irish storm Darragh ( 90MHW) But we’re very pleased to be locked down in this cozy remote hotel! Esp as Andy had cancelled his Fishing trip! Didn’t feel a need to leave the property or go out for food As the main hotel had 3 huge open fire places with logs burning in cozy snug areas with sumptuous settees The restaurant was relatively quiet for breakfast & on the Thursday evening just a few young couples with their very well behaved children & the young waiter (dark haired tall & handsome) sorry didn’t get your name was extremely personable & very attentive & friendly we experienced this from every member of staff that we came across, breakfast & evening meals ( was never hungry for lunch as breakfast was plentiful! My only slight gripe was that the meals weren’t quite hot enough for me as I like my food pipping hot, I mentioned this to the waiter & it was relayed to the chef who delivered my request! Food was well cooked & well presented! We took advantage of the main swimming pool & sauna facilities & although pool was quite small we enjoyed a relaxing swim ( just the two of us) there was a baby class on in the adjacent toddlers pool but this did not bother us ( it was so cute to watch) & added ambience to our swim also sauna was very tiny ( maximin of 4) again we had this to ourselves ( good timing) & also like fact that we could pour the herbal flavoured water on hot stones which I much prefer for a healthier infusion experience! I pre-booked a 90 minute ISHGA massage inc facial with Katie in the lovely stunning verandah treatment rooms my massage & facial was exceptional the best I’ve ever experienced & was given a

WOW! What a way to spend your 40th Birthday. Being a special one I wanted to spend it with my family, but with kids of all ages, it’s sometimes hard to find somewhere that allows everyone to have a fun, memorable break. This was absolutely spot on! We had actually been here some years ago and walked away feeling it was shabby chic, with the emphasis on the shabby. It felt expensive and not value for money - but the concept was there. Fast forward 7 years and they have done the hotel up beautifully. The attention to detail was standout and the service and food spot on. Everyone was so friendly! We had The Swan for meal times and I was worried that as we were in a private dining room the service may suffer. This was not the case at all (Thanks to Izzy and Kai). It’s a beautiful room and it made my birthday even more special to all be in there together. After dinner we had a fun game of skittles with all the family enjoying themselves - although a little chilly in there so had to wrap up! The kids absolutely loved the play barn - even the 18 year old! Although our kids fends for themselves, for those with younger children, there is now an area where you can help yourself to hot drinks whilst watching your kids play - a great addition. We loved relaxing in The Lounge by an open fire sampling the cocktail list! We also enjoyed a family game of bingo which was great fun and we made use of the pool too - always a winner! We stayed in The Fleetview room Defoe. Beautifully decorated, coffee machine, a fridge and stunning views onto your own terrace. The kids loved the towels on arrival made into animal shapes, plus their own dressing gowns were a lovely touch! I would certainly recommend and worked well for us plus our 7 and 10 year old. The fleetview rooms on the ground floor can all work as one as the rooms are interconnecting - great for extended families! Shout out to Tracey and Gemma on reception - super helpful in planning this special getaway, thank you! Only thing I would say is that we would have preferred to sign as we went to keep track of our bill as you don’t get a receipt on ordering drinks and food, only at the end of your stay. Look, this isn’t a cheap getaway, but we knew this before we came so keep that in mind. However, despite the bill on check out I was left feeling it was money well spent and I will cherish the memories, you only live once. Here’s to next time! Thank you Moonfleet

This is a lovely property. All decked out for Christmas was special too. Our room was clean and beautifully designed and styled. The meals we had were good and the rooms in the hotel are very comfortable for lounging in. This is a Luxury Family Hotel which fits the bill for family holidays. In our opinion, you should not visit if you are not prepared to share the hotel with babies and toddlers. As there were only a handful of young families staying during our time there it was fine. In fact, we had the place to ourselves each night once the kids went to bed! Our only negative was the 12.5% service surcharge applied to our food/drinks. Although this was noted as ‘discretionary’ it was included in all final bills and would have been awkward to have it removed once applied. We would have preferred to offer our own tip.

My wife and three year old wanted a last minute short break and were delighted we found this place. Everything was easy. Every need and want seemed to have been thought about. We didn’t leave the grounds of the hotel. Swimming. Skittles. Soft play, arcades, football, pool and snooker all in the Verandah. Sort of place you’re delighted if the weather is lousy as you have an excuse to nestle down and sit by the fire. Which we did. Staff were thoughtful and friendly, food was great. A fantastic stay, and we look forward to a repeat visit with more family in tow.

This is a family friendly hotel, suitable for all ages, set beside the Fleet Lagoon behind Chesil Beach. It is specially for families with children and has entertainment for all including three pools of various depths to suit all abilities. There is a large games area, The Verandah Activity Hub, and the Four Bears Den offering a two-hour session per nights stay for smaller children. Very comfortable rooms, good, busy breakfasts with as much as you could eat and friendly staff. Plenty of fine public rooms to sit quietly if you want to and a terrace for outdoor food. Highly recommended.

We had great 2 night stay at Moonfleet Manor this week . We travelled as a family to celebrate a special birthday and were impressed by how friendly and helpful all the staff was - especially at the restaurant . This hotel is absolutely perfect for toddlers - my 2 year old twins had the best time - from the veranda , pool and movie room and activities at the crèche - they were entertained the entire time . We have also enjoyed a great massage at the spa and the lovely terrace for cream tea. We booked two rooms as we were travelling with my parents and both rooms were spacious and well appointed . Overall a great place and would definitely come back .

Being my first trip away with me and my baby I wanted to go somewhere that I knew would cater to children and this did not disappoint The rooms are modern and really spacious. The first night I had issues with my shower and then following day I was given a new room with an upgrade. The room was huge! The hotel provide everything you need for a baby including cot, changing equipment, high chairs, buggy, childcare (I didn’t use this so can’t comment on how it was) and much more. The food was ok the pricey side but really tasty. One night my son was sleeping so they just deliver the food to your room instead. There was also a huge play den with so many activities for kids as well. P The staff were really helpful and friendly. The pool was lovely, I was the only one in it. It was so nice I ended up staying for an extra night. I couldn’t have asked for a better first trip for me and my son. Would highly recommend.

A beautiful hotel in a stunning location. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the breakfast (we ordered freshly cooked from the menu) was very nice indeed. The room we were in was luxurious and clean with a huge bathroom. The sea views from our room were absolutely fantastic - just a shame the weather wasn't brilliant. I'm not usually a fan of hotels that allow dogs due to concerns about cleanliness and noise - but thankfully we didn't encounter any during our stay. Would certainly recommend.
