This was a getaway for my husband and I to celebrate my 50th bday and I booked the room several months in advance. I booked a double queen room with a view. I would have preferred a King, but those rooms have very small bathrooms with tub, sink and toilet all together so I chose double queen so getting ready would be easier. I was aware the building with the double queen rooms is partially behind the other building, but assumed in booking a room with a view we would be getting an upper floor room with the small deck. We were put in room 10 which is ground floor. While you can see the lake from the window, the primary view is of the back of the building and the stairwell. It is also directly across from the supply closet and a table where people play cards at night. We kept our blinds tightly shut the entire time because of the complete lack of privacy and I really missed having a window. There were also 2 families with children above us. The hard floors are very nice for cleanliness, but the noise from constant running of kids back and forth across the room until after 11 at night and starting at 6:30 in the morning made for a not peaceful stay. Even with our bad experience I would not tell you to rule this place out. Here is why- the location is really great. You can walk right across the street to the beach, and blue horse coffee next door is some of the best coffee I have ever had. The decor is appealing/nicely updated- I always appreciate white bedding as I know it can’t be hiding anything. The bed was comfortable. When I contacted management with our concerns and asked to be moved to a different room they were very nice. We were not able to be moved, but were given a small discount because of the issues we encountered. I do feel room 10 should not be considered a room with a view. Room 6 is the best king room and 12 and 13 are the best for double queen
