The hotel is very nice. The room is huge and super nice. It has everything you could need.
The terrace is also very nice but it was shared with the room next door.
The only drawback we found is that it doesn't have an elevator. And it has quite a few stairs to the attic. If you're carrying luggage and have mobility problems it gets complicated. But from what we saw there were rooms on the ground floor without any stairs.
It's a bit far away but it has free parking and a supermarket next door.

We stayed one night at Finsens Gaard. We had a 4 Bed Bedroom in the Mainbuilding. You don't have a reception there, the code for the Maindoor and your room will be sent to you by SMS. All was flawless. The room was on the second flor. It was clean and had a coffeemaker inside. There is a big balcony overviewing the island of Senja and the Fjord. The house is almost 200 years old, so be prepared for some steep and narrow staircases to get to your room. The room itself was bright and the beds have been comfortable. There are 2 showers / bathrooms. They are quite aged by now. Finsens is a bit south of Tromso and the brdige to the island of Senja is very close. It was a nice stay for one day, but because the age of the building, the quite small beds and the old infrastructure in the bathroom, for me the rooms in the maninbuilding are only an average accomodation.

Beautifull old building, Perfectly situated in the bay area. Great vintage atmosfere in the cottage but a perfectly modern apartment. We took the appartroom en-suite bathroom, everything was perfect.. the kitchen was well equiped, comfortable beds and nice cosy bathroom. We got the entrance code via email and sms, worked perfectly. There is a steap staircase to get to the appartment, but if the suitcases are small its not a problem (we decided to leave the big case in the car). Deffently gonna reccomend it.

The photos make it look as if this accommodation is at the edge of the earth. It is in fact on the edge of Finsnes which is certainly not a beautiful town. However, look left not right and you have a view of pure magic and tranquility . The apartment was beautiful and comfortable. We ate in and fortunately had seen that the hob was not working so bought the right food. It’s a bit unnerving not having a key but only a code which is texted to you on the day. Make sure your phone is charged! An exceptional base for some stupendous drives

Cute little house with a beautiful sea view: very airy living area, with a large sofa, finely furnished. Hyper-equipped kitchen. The fact that you can use the washing machine and dryer is very convenient. On the contrary, the bathroom was really cramped and had no shower tray, so it basically flooded every time you had to wash. Rooms a little too small, we couldn't even fit our luggage on the floor. It's fine for a night or two.

Zij hebben hun manier van werken en uiteindelijk is dat hun recht en nog niet zo slecht. Ik had in maart geboekt voor de dag in juni dat ik in Finnsnes zou aankomen. Dat verliep uitstekend en er werd verteld dat ik op voorhand een betaalopdracht zou aankrijgen. Een paar dagen voor onze aankomst had ik nog niks aangekregen maar vermoedde dat dit nog wel zou komen. Toen ik de avond voor onze aankomst nog niks had gekregen nam ik contact met hen op en bleken zij mijn reservatie niet meer terug te vinden. Geen probleem er was nog een kamer voor 2 personen vrij. Ik kreeg een link voor betaling maar toen zag ik dat zij hun prijs met 200 kronen hadden opgetrokken. Ik wilde terug met hen contact opnemen maar dat liep moeilijk. Uiteindelijk toch terug aan de lijn gekregen en na aandringen kreeg ik een nieuwe link met de afgesproken prijs. Wij hadden een kamer op het gelijkvloers in het hoofdgebouw. Schitterende kamer met een mooie badkamer met enorm goede regendouche. Er was zelfs een keuken aanwezig met voldoende gerief om zelf eten klaar te maken. Dat zou eventueel een oplossing zijn want om te eten in de stad moet je toch even zoeken. Ontbijt wordt er ook niet aangeboden. De bedden zijn uitstekend en door de rustige ligging tegen het meer is rust verzekerd. Uiteindelijk werd het een topper.
