My stay at the Mercure has been an amazing experience. Considering this was my first time in France and I do not speak French, I required a lot of assistance in regards to making reservations, planning weekend activities and getting general advice about the area and what to do. Ben & Nina were exceptionally friendly, patient, and helpful and took a great stay to an exceptional one. The Mercure has a customer for life with me.

One of a kind hotel with a perfect location in historic district. The quarters themselves are just exceptional both out and in, and the modern decor is well suited to high ceilings. Service level is good overall with reactive management to little glitches. The one dysfunctional part of our experience was breakfast. Room is too small and the floor layout management in great need of improvement.. lines at coffee machine just one example. Availability of items such as butter or croissant inconsistent ..hot milk bottled thermos a disaster as mostly out anytime you get up to look for some. Spent more time up chasing products than eating. A no plastic hôtel with a refill able glass bottle in room offering unlimited supply of sparkling or flat water in bar.

Sadly we only spent one night in this beautiful and atmospheric hotel. Figeac is a pretty town and staying here makes for a lovely stay. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a magnificent suite but the whole building is beautiful. Despite being in the middle of town it was very quiet and the beds were so comfortable. Access to the hotel is a little difficult down a narrow street and the parking is a 7 minutes walk away but that is all part of the charm of staying in such a historic building.

Beautiful hotel and grounds in heart of this stunning town. Very helpful staff at reception when a large group of cars arrived all at once. Hotel is tucked away in narrow streets. Swimming pool small but lovely break from the heat. We ate in the restaurant, food was delicious but super small portions nouveau cuisine and the waiter came across as quite rude trying hard to upsell the wine. We were a large group and know what wines we like. Limited menu and out of three desserts only 2 available.

This is quite unexpected for a Mercure - the tastefully designed conversion of a heritage property. Access is a bit of a challenge through narrow streets - but drivers in the old town seem to wait remarkably patiently as you unload the car on arrival, before you head off in search of their private car park. Full instructions are provided at reception to help you get there, and then it's just a few minutes walk back to the hotel down/up a narrow walkway. Well worth the effort, as parking in town would otherwise be difficult. The hotel itself reminded us a bit of a Spanish Parador - historic interior modified carefully to accommodate a handful of guest rooms of different shapes and sizes, with lifts and all the modern amenities you'd expect. Very comfortable indeed. Dinner was served outside in the internal courtyard. Very pleasant altogether, although the menus (of predictable quality) are not inexpensive. A separate breakfast room served an excellent buffet breakfast with multiple options. Quite an eye-opener! Firmly recommended and good value, if it's within your budget.

The hotel itself is stunning and the rooms feel very luxurious If driving and arriving by car, and you wish to use one of the parking spaces then book ahead as they only have a few spaces, but there are plenty of other free parking spaces close by the breakfast was well stocked and again the setting is great the hotel is right in the centre, close by the bars and restaurants so its easy to pop in and out the only slight niggle for me is that the aircon was not working, maybe due to being May and lots of hotels in France don’t have aircon thru the entire year, was a shame as the room was very warm, so for me, i would have liked to have had more control on the temperature

Modern amenities in beautiful old world setting. Booked for one night and stayed three. We would have stayed longer if we didn’t need to continue on our travels. Excellent location in old town - Saturday markets are virtually on the doorstep. Very helpful staff, great breakfast, lovely bar. Many beautiful areas to sit both inside and outside.

The hotel is a historic landmark! It also happened to be so convenient to parking and in the heart of the old town!.The staff were helpful and friendly. The view of the village from our balcony was beautiful. Our room was an amazing mix of medieval and modern!

Wonderful welcome. Service was exceptional. The actual hotel itself is a rare beauty. The grounds are extremely tastefully manicured. The food and location are all excellent. The car park is a bit of a walk but no real issue. It is certainly among the best places to stay in our region.
