The riad is well-maintained, conveniently located near Fez's new city center, with friendly staff providing excellent service. The varied, beautifully presented breakfast is a highlight.

We had experienced a magical moment where 1 night was equal to 1000 nights. The staff is caring and attentive, you can benefit from the historical knowledge of the receptionist who will be able to guide you for a very good stay in Fes. The establishment is an architectural marvel with magnificent authentic decoration where you can feel the soul of the good thinker accompanied by a charming swimming pool. We didn't take the time to enjoy the food which must be as good as the place except for the breakfast which was plentiful and good. I will come back without hesitation and recommend it to those around me.

很好的當地風格酒店,裝修很有菲斯風情,服務比較到位,但晚上12點鎖門,還有就是進門得壓門鈴,這點不太好,不自由,另外就是停車指的是路邊。

A beautiful riad, excellent located for good food and shops near. Staff helpful and welcoming. Very well kept and clean. They have three small dogs who are well behaved. The garden is pleasant. Beds a little hard for us, and many barking dogs at night in the area, take ear plugs! Eating in is not good value as there are many places to eat locally where the food is very much better for a lot less.

The Riad building and grounds are in traditional Moroccan style and decor. Our room (Deluxe Suite) was quite spacious. We've stayed for 3 nights and our room was cleaned daily, bed linens and even the bathrobes were changed daily. This Riad is conveniently located in close proximity to a main street with many restaurants and cafes. That is all for the positive side. On the negative side: The breakfast quality is terrible. Waiting time to get any food on your table is at least 30 min. The servers at the breakfast are the same young girls that clean the rooms (looks and feels like cheap labour). There are three dogs on the premisses that walk free and barking all night long. One of the nights we couldn't sleep at all because of these dogs. The Riad does offer a dinner menu, however the price is unreasonably hight. Walk 100 meters to a main street and you will pay fraction of that price. One more detail - Keep in mind that this Riad doesn't except credit cards. The conclusion: I would NOT recommend Riad Dar Ziryab

Do you like being ignored and not helped with your bags etc at your riad? Do you love haggling around insane prices at the end of the day when you get back to your riad from the Medina market? What about rude staff? Dar ziryab is for you! It doesn’t matter if you’re a kind guest who tips extremely well, they will gouge you on extras, like laundry and not help with anything. Didn’t help with our bags, charged us two euros per piece of clothing we sent for laundry, after we argued about that finally they reduced it to 1 euro per single piece of underwear for laundry. Ridiculous. They kept asking when we wanted to pay during our stay way before the day we were leaving. The guy at the front was completely unhelpful, gave us some incorrect information, brought other staff to harass us about the 40 euros they wanted to charge us for a single load of laundry (no pressing). It was bizarre. Every other place we have stayed we have had amazing service and kind hosts/riad staff. My friend and I were relieved to finally get out of there and move on with our Moroccan trip. Having done Fez, I would recommend instead staying at a riad inside the medina, there are many and they were well placed and gorgeous. Dar ziryab is far from the Medina and you won’t get any help or useful information from the staff. It’s a pretty riad though, but poor lighting and tacky decor bring down the intricate architecture . Not worth it, and the only negative tourist experience I’ve had in Morocco.

Surprising setting in this very decorated modern riad. The owner very knowledgeable in Islamic and other art and culture is fascinating to listen to. Very comfortable and welcoming. The top is the quality of the dinner with traditional recipes from Fes with wild artichokes or quince. I understand that all lovers of good Moroccan cuisine come to taste the owner's dishes.

The Ryad is typically Moroccan style, the rooms are spacious and clean. The staff are charming and smiling. A big congratulations to young Mehdi, who is very pleasant, professional and very competent. On the other hand, the evening meals are expensive (but tasty it must be said!) the choice of wines is really limited and their quality is mediocre. Furthermore, when it was time to pay the bill, the credit card machine almost didn't work... (it seemed a little strange to us though)...
