The experience we had at another Riad set very, very high expectations, so read this with that in mind :)
I've worked and stayed in luxury hotels around the world, and if you're looking for a stunning hotel, with pleasant service this would be a top choice. However overall we were looking for more of an intimate experience. Staff were very nice; they were young, friendly, kind and caring. Travelling with my mother however, it felt very uncomfortable when I was asked 'how my wife was doing?!', this summed up the disconnection between the hotel and the experience. A beautiful hotel but short of a 4/5 star experience. It is one of the most stunning Riads you will stay at. The restaurant serves great food, and the views are amazing - if you can handle the three floors of steep steps. Overall, you won't be disappointed but it felt like when we stayed there was no manager for those extra touches you expect when paying this much.

Perfect place to stay! A traditional Moroccan Riad located in the old town of Fes. The car cannot enter the old town of Fes, so someone from the B&B will come out to pick you up and help you with your luggage. The B&B is beautiful, you must stay here! The only problem is that you have to climb very high steps to have breakfast, which is not very friendly to the elderly. Other than that, everything is perfect, you must experience Moroccan style accommodation!

We stayed three nights at the riad and it was my favourite place from our time in morocco. A lovely peaceful haven from the busy medina, beautifully restored and decorated, friendly helpful staff provided good service without being overbearing. We also enjoyed a massage in the hammam.

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed in!!!! Everything was just absolutely perfect from the friendly staff to the food at the restaurant and our gorgeous room!! Right in the middle of the old Medina the location is perfect as well.

One of those places you hesitate to review in case it becomes too popular and loses its charm. The hotel was built in the seventeenth century as a palace and it shows in the architecture. Food and wine good, staff incredibly helpful and friendly and the Hammam is not to be missed.

My husband, son and I had a wonderful stay from the moment we stepped inside. The staff was warm and welcoming and helpful. The Riad is absolutely beautiful. Our room and bedding was incredibly comfortable. The Yellow Room had an actual bed for my son which was a nice change from the pullout beds he had been staying in at other hotels on our vacation. There were several different spaces throughout the property to sit and relax. The Riad staff arranged a taxi to pick us up from the train station and a porter met us to take our luggage and escort us to the Riad, and they did the same when we left. They were also very helpful in arranging a tour of the Medina, including food, which was a fantastic experience. We felt very well cared for and can't recommend Riad Laaroussa enough.

I came back to Riad Larousse in Fes on purpose to spend my last night in Morocco because I wanted the most beautiful of memories... it was the confirmation of the extraordinary nature of that unique place in the world! Hospitality, culinary experience, beauty of the Riad and above all the class and elegance of the staff... just one word... amazing! Riad Laaroussa is the perfect place to stay for a visit to Fes. The location is great - pretty easy to find (despite the twists and turns of the Medina) - and close to major sites and lots of attractions. The accommodations are stunning, from the design elements to the rooftop with the great view to the spacious, well-thought-out rooms. Above all else, though, the people at the Riad make Laaroussa a wonderful place to stay. Everyone was friendly and helpful, from the driver at the train station the porter at the Blue Gate, to all the staff, and FZ and Othmane who were both so helpful throughout our stay. We would love to have the chance to return for another visit!
