The Parador de Ferrol is super! It has a nautical theme, in keeping with its view out onto the arsenal and harbor. It's very comfortable and well maintained, and our room, although not large, was very well set up and had a little balcony facing the harbor. The staff was friendly and helpful, setting us up with a kettle in the room, and keeping something in the fridge for us on our day of departure. We didn't have breakfast so I can't comment, but lunch in the restaurant was excellent. The only downside is the cafeteria, which whike pretty and comfortable, could use a better menu. It would also be more convenient if food (at least sandwiches and salads) could be obtained outside the restaurant hours.

We came to the Parador to have lunch the Hotel was full so we did not visit the rooms. The lunch was very good served in a very nice dining room, service was impecable and food was very good. If I will return to El Ferrol the hotel is a very good option for a stay.

This was the first night of my Camino de Santiago walk. It was an old world hotel. Somewhat dated, but all together nice. I don't think there are many options in Ferrol, and this was the best hotel in the city. If I came to Ferrol again, I'd definitely stay again.

The Ferrol Parador is a great place to stay. The staff provides excellent service and the rooms had great views of the waterfront. The overall value of the stay was great.

Very nice hotel, with a strong sense of history, and ideal before starting the Camino Ingles. Our room faced the sea and the naval museum. Comfortable beds and adequate air conditioning. Ferrol is a lovely town to explore and the Parador was a great base.

We traveled from the USA to Ferrol for 4 days to attend a family wedding in August. The hotel management and staff were exceedingly helpful accommodating our family and facilitating special diet requirements. Our stay at the hotel was a delight and the staff was always courteous and professional. We enjoyed the scenic setting and charm of the building architecture and decor. Ferrol has beautiful mild weather in the summer and we enjoyed the small city setting with fewer tourists, the town center is very walkable with many shops and delicious coffee. Some of the best fish in Spain is in Ferrol! The extra travel from Madrid or Barcelona, or from Portugual is worthwhile (plane or trains). ENJOY!

Great location with parking in front of the entrance and easy walking into the town centre. Nice atmosphere in the parador and the usual high standard of rooms and common areas. Great beaches very close to Ferrol. Lovely bright dining room in the parador.
