We really liked our stay in the surf lodge! We celebrated our wedding anniversary in the lodge by organizing a great party with many peole. The crew of the lodge was very kind and was always prepared to help us. The coordination and communication with the crew was excellent. The food and drinks were really good. And also our 2 nights in a suite room were really fine. We therefore could recommend everyone to stay in the surf lodge and even celebrate their wedding anniversary. Thank you dear surf lodge crew! We had the best stay! It was so good we extended it to another night, total 3 nights but would have loved to stay longer. We were a family of 5 adults and had 3 rooms with balconies, the rooms were beautiful! The most comfortable beds. The staff are very helpful and so friendly. The restaurant had very yummy food, catering for vegetarians. We enjoyed the food so much we ate there every night. Loved the laid back vibe, loved the free bikes, loved the rooftop pool & lounge areas. Close to beaches, supermarket & beach bars.

Very frindly staff and good location for surfing. Good bar and resturent. Rooms small but nice design. Pool and rooftop ok - but small. Missed complementary tea and coffe (expensive in bar). Surfschool good but rental of surfboards and wetsuit very expensive.

The breakfast spread was fantastic, offering various healthy options to fuel our day. Dinners were equally impressive, with flavorful dishes that showcased the best of Portuguese cuisine. The seafood, in particular, was outstanding – perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The ambiance of the dining area added to the experience, with its cozy and relaxed vibe, making every meal a pleasure. The location is a stunning coastal setting. Firstly, never hire a surfboard from here. 10 euros everywhere else in town and a whopping 40 euros for 2hrs here.... scandalous and insulting. Literally everywhere charges 10 euros, so I didn't clarify the price (just like I don't clarify the price of beer at every bar). But after renting at the beach spots, thought I'd rent from the hotel for a change...big mistake and really felt taken advantage of. Now with the good & bad: Good: Clean & modern rooms, attentive staff and good breakfast. Close to great sushi and mexican restaurants. Bad: small rooms and even smaller bathroom, excessive rental prices and not exactly a 'surfers lodge'; more suited for a couples hotel. Also at reception, not much of a welcome and no local info provided. Mixed feelings about this place; honestly expected more

Awesome hotel, super nice rooms and very clean. Breakfast was great with a wide selection in buffet style. Location was fab and only 5 mins walk to the beach. Staff super friendly and the restaurant was amazing, the food was delicious and great menu. Fab place to stay in Baleal!

Nice hotel in surfers thema. The dinner and lunch food was very nice. Maybe price a bit high for Portugal, but more than worth it! I took my first ever surf lessons with Joao. (Reserved in advance). Clean and good materials. I would recommend this place to others looking for a nice place to stay.

We were staying at the MH Hotel Peniche and went to Surfers Lodge for dinner. A nice place nearby and good food and friendly staff. A little on the dear side but excellent food. Plenty of parking nearby. We had no booked and were seated straight away. Good service and nice surroundings and plenty of surf gear used as decoration.
