O Hotel o Gato tem um bom potencial, embora haja alguns pormenores em que pode ainda melhorar. A piscina exterior é ótima e muito limpa, com muito espaço e muitas espreguiçadeiras, existe lugar de estacionamento com várias sombras, o pessoal é muito simpático e os quartos e os acessos no edifício são muito limpos. No entanto, num quarto virado para as traseiras do hotel, é difícil descansar com os vários cães a ladrar dia e noite junto à janela. Colocámos as toalhas da piscina no chão do quarto para serem mudadas, pois estavam encharcadas e no quarto não existe onde as estender de um dia para o outro, mas não as mudaram. Assim, andámos 4 dias com as toalhas da piscina molhadas. Com dias de 20, 21 graus, torna-se um pouco complicado. A piscina interior está muito bem cuidada, mas o ambiente do espaço estava demasiado frio e tornava-se desconfortável. Escolhemos o hotel pela piscina interior, mas acabámos por não a utilizar por esse motivo. Nos primeiros dias o pequeno almoço era muito fraco, pouca oferta e nada de produtos caseiros (como se esperava no Alentejo). Apenas pão, bolos ”de pacote”, fiambre e queijo de supermercado, pacotes de manteiga e doce, cereais, leite, cafe, sumo de pacote e pouco mais. No último dia o hotel tinha mais gente e o pequeno almoço foi um pouco mais diversificado.
