Nice location at the top of a hill. Cool and pleasant breeze at night. Cabins are small and comfy with a good shower, decent bed, and good A/C. Good breakfast. WiFi does not work, but the property sits under two cell towers, so cell service is good. There is a constant drone from the equipment supporting the cell towers. 4G is good during the day, but less so in the evening as the island's up-link gets overloaded with selfie uploads. Friendly, helpful staff. 5 minute drive from the airport. Good restaurants and shopping within walking distance. 20 minute walk to the beach (downhill). 30 minute walk back to the hotel. Nice porch and hammock on each cabin, making it a pleasant place to hang out. I would stay here again.

We stayed here for 5 nights with our 2 kids. We loved the little cabins with the front porch which had a table and hammock. Breakfast was really good. Dona Ge prepared pies, cakes, pastries every morning along with fresh juice and fruits. She also prepared eggs and tapioca per request. Service was very good and front desk very helpful especially with getting a taxi faster. Location is excellent as it was nice and quiet but within walking distance to restaurants, market, town center and beaches.

The inn is cozy, clean and has a wonderful breakfast. The view is beautiful and the staff is very attentive. It is small and has 9 bungalows with flowery avenues in a green space in the middle of the beach. It is well located, very close to the center.

I had already written my review on Google, but I decided to leave it here too, because you deserve it! I was there during the All Souls' Day holiday, and it really exceeded my expectations. I believe that accommodation revolves around something simple: a love for serving, and that's what I found in the eyes of each person who welcomed us. The staff is wonderful and very helpful, this is definitely what sets this inn apart. The space is simply enchanting, very well-kept and charming. The bungalows are spacious, with a large balcony with a hammock, table and chairs to enjoy. It has internet and cable TV, but I didn't even care. With such a beautiful place like this, who needs a TV? The bathroom is also very large and has shampoo and conditioner refills, which I found extremely important. Most hotels in São Paulo, including luxury resorts, don't offer something like this. The breakfast is delicious, they offer several tapioca options to make on the spot. I loved the one with coalho cheese and coconut and my son ordered it with Nutella. Everything is very fresh, high quality and well served. The juices and a brigadeiro and oreo trifle that I'm still dreaming about stand out. From 4pm to 6pm, they serve coffee with homemade cake and other treats. We only managed to try it one afternoon, because of the tours. There are showers in the outdoor area, which makes it much easier to get to the beach. Everything is clean and fresh, and it has a more relaxed atmosphere, which I found great for relaxing. Nearby there is a drinks shack where, if you talk to the people there, you can find the best prices on the island. For those who want to enjoy the night, you can walk to Vila dos Remédios, which has most of the bars, restaurants and shops. We were also able to walk to Cachorro, Meio and Conceição beaches. Thank you to everyone at Estrela do Mar for welcoming us so well. I already have a reservation for the November 15th holiday, wait for me!!
