Owner is amazing and a very good person. We’re still in touch. Recommended local foods to eat and even offered me drinks and some street food! Very helpful about what you can see around the area too, and takes you to places if he has time instead of just saying “go there”
Room has everything you need and is good for its location and price. I think someone else brought up the squat toilet — for us foreigners, do be aware that it is a squat toilet (at least in my room) and the water from the shower drains into it. This is common in older places in China, and it is clean. Make your own decision whether that’s a problem for you.
Overall, amazing host and this is where you should go if you want a more “family/friends” feeling instead of just somewhere to stay for the night.
There’s also a hangout area on the roof with a great view. The owner is an amazing singer and plays guitar, and also sings and speaks a bit of cantonese.
Thank you for a great time! I will miss you. Come to NZ someday!

The boss is nice and the sanitary conditions are relatively good. It's very close to the river, but you won't be disturbed at all at night! You can see the night view on the roof. There is a romantic loft. I like it very much😃
