Zuijiangyue Wisdom Riverview Hotel (Phoenix Ancient City Tuojiang Yunqiao Branch)

We had a really nice stay in Fenghuang! The hotel was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful balcony view overlooking the old town. The staff at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful - they don’t speak English, but we communicated easily through WeChat’s built-in translation chat. They even helped us figure out the different ways of getting from the high-speed railway station to the hotel. At first, the room had only disposable towels for showering, but when we asked, they quickly provided regular towels with no problem. A few practical notes: there’s no elevator, and we were on the 3rd floor (quite common in this area). The hotel is not accessible by car since it’s on the cobblestone riverside road in the old town, but it’s just a short walk from the bridge where taxis drop off and pick up. The location is great - slightly outside the busiest part of the old town, but everything is within walking distance. At night we strolled from the hotel through the bridges and riverside shops into the heart of the old town - it was absolutely magical. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money. Highly recommended if you want a clean stay, warm hospitality, and a great location to explore Fenghuang.

Kind to upgrade us during low season. Nice spacious room. They also helped carry our bags out. It’s a long distance and our bags were heavy

The hotel management sent someone to meet us on the Yun (cloud) Bridge and help with the luggage. It was a good idea as it was not easy to find if you don't know the area and there were stairs to climb in order to get to the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very simple but sufficient. Reception also helped to order a ride for us ahead of time so we didn't have to wait for one in the afternoon heat. The room size is decent and the bathroom is fine. The view is beautiful. The only drawback is that the cleaning could be done more thoroughly.
