We had an amazing stay at Shuyi home stay. From the monent we were picked up from the train station to the moment we were dropped off we felt the Chinese hospitality warmth throughout our stay. The family room is beautifully appointed and designed. The whole hotel has lots of nice touches from the floating shower floor to the lighting and fully decorated book shelf. Breakfast was actually very good for Chinese home stay standard with lots of choices of noodles, congee and buns. Even for westerners there are a few options. The hospitality as mentioned was super! The friendly pick up from the station to the quick delivery of any required ammenities and water available for refill and yes even some local snacks for our journey for departure, it was a memorable stay at Fenghuang and highly recommended. The locations is up on a hill a little further away from river than we had expected but all within 10 mins walk so no big deal.

This was literally our favourite hotel in China, very clean, and with the best view ever. The windows are huge, and you can see the ancient city at night, simply amazing. We ended up booking another day. I would love to come back one day. The host are amazing and kind, we even got a complementary drop off to the train station and a gift. The breakfast was delicious as well, we are vegetarian, but they had something for us as well. I recommend the hotel with all my heart.

Really clean hotel and good service. It is within walking range of the old town and there are lots of places to eat nearby. We got a free ride in an awesome fan from the hotel to the railway station.

Good location just outside of the old town, so a little quieter and more peaceful. I liked the view of the town and mountains from my room, which was clean and modern. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent value for money.

We loved the location as it was just a short walk away from the key attraction and it was relatively quieter at night. The room was clean and comfortable, and we loved the TV projector!

The accommodation was very clean, and there was a pickup service available. It’s located close to the entrance of the ancient city. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful — they gave great travel advice and even helped arrange a ride to the train station. There are plenty of delicious restaurants nearby, making it very convenient. Breakfast was also included. Highly recommended!

Amazing hotel! It’s really new, modern and beautiful. One of the most beautiful rooms we stayed in our trip to China. Front desk lady (I think she is the owner aswell) was incredibly helpfull even though she did not speak English. She did her best with translating with WeChat. Breakfast was good (all Chinese food. No western option) We were also offered a free ride to the train station It’s outside the ancient city but pretty close (around 5-10 minute walk) Would stay again for sure!!
