Family-friendly Hotels in Fenghuang

The location of the hotel is right in the center of the ancient town . They have concierge to pick us up from the drop off point . It is a short distance of walk to reach the hotel . The view from the room is perfect and we even got upgraded with a balcony room . We are also offered a complimentary pick up and drop off from train station . The only downside about this hotel is overall the facility is slightly old but pretty well kept . If you want an early rest just take note the music level is really loud from outside and no much sound proof . Music will stop right at 1130pm.

The hotel is located next to the ancient city. It takes more than ten minutes to walk to the core area, but it is only a few dozen meters to the maglev station. The room was very clean, and the hotel also provided free fruit and baked sweet potatoes, which were delicious.

Travelled to 凤凰古城to celebrate my birthday! The room is perfect and our 管家(嘉嘉) and the team has made our experience wonderful! They catered to our needs and helped us in many ways! The room includes a maglev sightseeing train ride, which is a great experience. You can get off the high-speed train and go to the maglev train guide board, and report your cell phone number to the information desk. There is no need to pay extra. The innkeeper will contact you in advance to make arrangements. After getting off the maglev, there is also a pick-up driver at the hotel. It's a pity that I underestimated how difficult it would be to get a taxi when leaving Fenghuang Ancient City. Didi can't get a taxi here. They have a local taxi app. You can ask the innkeeper. I heard the online taxi driver say it and didn't remember it. live. If you want to go to the high-speed rail station or the maglev train station here, the driver will ask for the price. If you want to go back to the maglev, you have to go early, or you can take a taxi directly back to the high-speed rail station. We paid 35. The facilities in the room are quite satisfactory. I would like to complain about the hair dryer and the shower room. The hair dryer was still mounted on the wall in the past and its power is worrisome. The shower room is not ventilated. If it is not turned on, there will be a strong musty smell when it is turned on again. Overall, the inn is worth staying in, and it’s worth it for the scenery. Other transportation or facility issues are trivial on the basis of one trip.

Pros- Great location by the river, beautiful and close walking distance to the food shops, famous bridges and the red lady singing on the boat (5-10mins). Clean warm room. Bit of scuff marks and stuff on the walls and wooden furnitures but overall charming, nice and modern and no like stinky smells from the river/mosquitoes/cigarettes etc. Warm showers and has all the standard amenities (hairdryer, soap shampoo, shaver etc). The manager is super friendly and hospitable even though she doesn’t speak English she really tries her best to help. Cons- noisy bars and karaoke until 11pm, tour groups in the morning start like at 7am below the balcony (maybe one or two when I was there 2 days) and 9am construction work starts. The free tour is sadly in Chinese only, and the free outfit doesn’t include photos or makeup, it is about 199 yuan for that but if you don’t want photos or makeup it’s free. Don’t think they wash the outfits super often either. Laundry is apparently not a proper one and you have to hand wash. No lifts if you have a lot of luggage.

The sanitation is relatively clean. It is a two-story house with a circular steel structure + glass. The first floor is the bathroom and living room, and the second floor is the room. Advantages: The room type is special and children like it. It is located in Nanhua Mountain. You can overlook the night view of the ancient city from the room. You can also lie on the bed to enjoy the scenery by opening the curtains. It feels pretty good. The hotel is right by the Hongqiao River. There is a dedicated housekeeper who can help you book tickets. Disadvantages: The room is on the mountain. Although there is an elevator, it takes more than 1 minute to walk. It is also a challenge to return to the hotel to rest after a day of sightseeing or halfway. The bathroom is indeed a bit small, the drainage is a bit not very good, and there is no place to put toiletries.

The hotel is very close to the bridge just walk 5 mins. Good location to walk around the ancient city and along the river. The service is superb. You need to contact hotel in advance as they need to meet you at the parking lot and bring you the hotel. The breakfast is at the restaurant nearby (local chinese style). The noodle soup is very delicious. Special thanks to Xiao Hong and Ar Ming for very nice hospitality. As there is no Didi in Fenghuang, they helped us to book the car to the airport and made sure that we arrived at the airport safely. Although they speak very limit English, we can communicate with WeChat. The ancient city view at night is very beautiful but also very crowded with people dressed in the ancient costume and taking pictures everywhere. It was difficult to walk and enjoy the night view as it is a bit noisy because of the people and music from bars along the river. Day time is more peaceful to walk around.
