Motel by Maier Gotzis- Kontaktloser Check-IN

Unfortunately, I had to spend a night in this hotel and can only say that I've never seen such a dirty and unhygienic room! For €129 a night, I would have expected at least a modicum of cleanliness, but that wasn't the case here. The stairwell already stank, and this continued seamlessly into our room. The carpet was stained, the sofa was dirty, and the mirror was also in terrible condition. The microwave in the room was an absolute horror – food was constantly spilling over, everything dried up and smelling. It was simply disgusting! In the bathroom, everything was covered in limescale and dirty. There were unsightly streaks and stains on the mirrors and tables. Even the bedside tables looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. It's unbelievable that a hotel operates with such poor hygiene and charges so much for it. I can't recommend this hotel at all and will definitely never stay here again! Anyone who cares about cleanliness should stay well away from this hotel.

Arrival was good, contactless check-in was impersonal and a bit complicated with two rooms but good, 1st room good (modern and spacious), 2nd room looked the same as the first but unfortunately completely filled with fresh cigarette smoke. You immediately wonder how this can be when you arrive at around 5 p.m. The lady on the phone tried to alleviate the situation but couldn't offer any other room in the building, so it would probably have to be aired out a lot. However, I was told to write an email and they would take care of it, the word "credit" was also mentioned. I was asked to be patient. My stay was 6 weeks ago and every attempt at contact, whether by phone or email, has so far been unsuccessful. The most beautiful hotel is of no use if the promised service completely fails. It's a shame, but we won't be coming back.
