"The staff were lovely friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable and peaceful and I had everything I needed it was nice to have a few places next to the front to eat ..the manager was really nice my only bad point is that if you don't drive be prepared for the taxi drivers to completely rip you off I had to phone about 10 cab companies to eventually get a cab to the station 2 mins cost me £22 but that is not the hotels fault"

"The room was gorgeous and we just had a standard room - the little touches provided were so well thought out - the little basket of breakfast options to the selection of tea coffees biscuits etc - much appreciated the bottled water and the fresh orange in the fridge - we also ate at the Brassiere and the food was outstanding- will be back - thank you"

"Lovely little hotel very near to Marks Tey station. Comfortable, well-equipped rooms, a nice restaurant for breakfast, and great front desk service too! Some minor quibbles: The electricity in the room kept tripping, and we couldn’t turn off the lights in the wardrobe without everything shutting off. Also, the shower bath liquid dispenser wouldn’t reattach after falling down mid-shower. Other than that, a pleasant enough stopover. Wish parking wasn’t so expensive though!"
