Here's a unique hotel - housed in a old mansion from the 1900s. This means that each room in the original wing is a little different and 'eclectic'. There's also a new wing with newer rooms, a spa, a swimming pool (sorta heated), a bistro and a 1 Michelin star restaurant. Pros: - Unique style of hotel that's set away from the hustle/bustle of the Etritat town. - Helpful staff - Complimentary bakes and hot drinks from 4-6pm - Michelin-star restaurant on site (but it was closed during our visit) - Comfortable beds, good water pressure and a bathtub - Professional grade Nespresso machine in-room with 4 pods (2x decaf) + nice tea bags - Grounds are cute, with a resident cat, fireplace and pleasant garden-ish spaces. Cons: - Cleanliness - we discovered a swarm of ants crawling behind the curtain. We think it was some food that wasn't cleaned away from the previous guest that attracted the ants. This was gross. - Room styling may not be to everyone's tastes - suggest you ask to view a room before you move your luggage in. - Narrow stairs to rooms in main building, was abit hard to get luggage up to but they can get help if needed. - Location could be a con for some as it's a good 10-12 min walk into the main down down a high. - Parking spaces were limited. - Breakfast is pricey at 25 euro - there's a great boulangerie in town Maison Piquenot that you can get good croissants, baguettes from. - Overall abit pricey for the value you get.

We had a wonderful stay, the staff is amazing and professional! We had a warm welcome and received a tour of the hotel, and the drinks on the veranda with the view was a special moment

Lovely hotel and great location in a very old/charming town along a beautiful stretch of the Normandy Coast - you can walk along the coast and cliffs for quite a while. Amazing. Finally, the staff went way above and beyond for us - with the owner belong us out of a jam in recharging our electric car. THANK YOU! We only wish we could have stayed longer - we will be back.

Our room was very dark. Due to large windows right into the main office we had to pull down the heavy curtains, and because the main lamp in the room was broken it was darker still. The replacement lamp improved the situation - by a little. The room itself was spacious, quirky - and not clean at all. Quirkiness requires extra care - but this was not the case. Good bed, though, and good bathroom. Front desk people were pleasant and helpful - but not all of them were knowledgeable. Parking lot is iffy: (1) no car allocation, (2) no proper signs for exit, and (3) pulling heavy suitcase down/up the gravel road is a chore, with no help by the crew. The food at the Bistrot was awful. The wine list was a joke (5 whites & 5 reds, all Ardeche. Our red was poor). The coquille saint jacque was inedible, and subsequently I got the worst diarrhea ever, which ruined my night sleep. Bottom line: Despite the unbeatable views and the very nice pool with good water temperature, and despite the efforts by the crew, my recommendation is to skip the Le Donjon even if the price drops by a third.

Beautiful hotel situated on the side of a hill overlooking Etretat bay and the amazing arches and stack. The hotel grounds are lovely and there is a terrace overlooking the town and bay, great for watching the sun set. We ate in the bistro on Sunday night and it was very good. Unfortunately their main restaurant isn’t open on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. Breakfast was served in the bistro and was also very good. Staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. We would highly recommend a visit.

We spent one night in the hotel, which is located at the top of a hill in Etretat. A fine wooden garden is surrounding the hotel. Room was comfortable. Staff was professional. From the terrace, close to the swimming pool, there’s a fine viewpoint on the sea. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant; food was good

We come back every year because everything is great. Lovely rooms, nice warm friendly atmosphere and great food. And last but not least great swimming pool. Every room has his own design and character. The restaurant is sublime and in demand you can have breakfast in the room. Looking forward to next year

Beautiful place in Etreta … the only problem was no manager on duty on Sunday and it was a situation in the pool with a young teenagers, playing ball around small children and other guests.., nobody from the hotel was in place to contain a situation with a other guest… very sad moment… the boys were very aggressive and we never saw any hotel staff there
