This hotel was a welcome weekend break The service was excellent throughout. The food and service in the Cedar restaurant was superb. It was a culinary delight. The building itself is amazing medieval looking with character everywhere. The cherry on top this time of year was the Christmas decorations. There were Christmas trees at every turn and in every corner. The huge tree in the Great Hall being the most outstanding. The hotel is deep in real countryside so we had a very peaceful nights sleep too.

After a few stressful weeks, we arranged childcare and my husband and I booked a night away at Fawsley Hall. We thought we’d splash out on something special. We trawled webpages looking for a good spa hotel and this looked good. On arrival, a lot of people were arriving at the same time but only one man (Stephen) was available to check people in. He was very lovely but clearly rushed off his feet and so we had to wait for 15-20 mins in the Reception area to book in. It would have been great if other staff could have been deployed to the Reception to help book people in. We asked about dinner and we were told that there was limited availability for dinner. This seemed strange given we had paid a lot of money to stay for one night in the hotel. We were told that usually the hotel Would contact guests to book a time for dinner but that they had no contact details at all for us and so hadn’t done this. It seemed quite odd. We had to book for a late 8:30pm dinner slot. We were shown to our room and we asked when would be a good time to go to the Spa. We were told any time was good and that there would always be space. We took a short walk and headed to the spa. The lady there told us that it was very busy and there were no spaces left. We went inside and it was very busy and no loungers were available. We found one available lounger and my husband had to just sit on the floor to read his book beside me. The saunas were full so we had a quick swim and then sat to read. The fire alarm went off and rang and rang. It didn’t stop and after 50 mins, our ears were ringing and we left having not used much of the spa facilities. It was very disappointing as when you book an overnight stay, you check in at 3pm and out at 11am which isn’t even a full 24 hours. That said, the staff were very nice and very apologetic and said they had never seen it so busy in the spa. Back in the room, we got ready to go for dinner. The bathroom was up some stairs and the ceiling is slanted over the sink. If you are tall like I am, you may wish to ask for a room without a slanted ceiling as it is slanted above the toilet and sink area and easy to hit your head. There was a mirror over the sink but it was in a dark corner and the lights on the mirror didn’t work and so I couldn’t do my make-up in the bathroom as I’d wanted. The dinner was super. Ollie our waiter was fabulous and the food was delicious and exciting in a lovely setting. We would give the restaurant and its staff a big thumbs up. The following day, we went for breakfast in the restaurant. Our waiter was very friendly and pleasant. He offered us tea or coffee and we said “coffee”. After taking some food from the buffet, we ate it and order some hot food but our coffee still hadn’t arrived. Our hot food arrived and then finally a larger pot of coffee arrived for the two of us. Soon after, we noticed the people sitting next to us were brought lovely Latte coffee and we wished we had been offered more of a menu of co

We’ve had a wonderful 3 night break at Fawsley Hall and what a fabulous place, we stayed in the Francis Walsingham suite it was sheer luxury. The grounds are beautifully maintained and all the lounge rooms are stunning, the spa is excellent with such a good choice of relaxing rooms, gym has everything you need for a workout. The staff are probably the best I’ve come across in hotels and we are used to staying at some of the worlds finest hotels, the staff are so friendly and helpful and the hotel can’t do enough to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I don’t think the photos and videos that I looked at before arrival do it any justice, in person this place is so much more better in person, we will definitely be returning to Fawsley Hall, it’s a very special place. My sister just surprised me with an overnight spa and dining stay at Fawsley, and our whole experience was amazing from start to finish. The grounds and surroundings of the hotel are so peaceful and beautiful that you feel relaxed from the instance you drive in there, and this only continues more when you’re inside! The staff too were all friendly, very helpful and attentive and lovely, Stephen on reception inparticular was so lovely and kind and just seems a total natural at his job, so please pass this on to him! Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, it was hot obviously on a hot summers day while we stayed there but we opened a window and used the fan provided. Our beds were also made into twin beds without us even having to ask and we were both very grateful for this! The food we ate at dinner and breakfast was delicious and plentiful too, and our afternoon tea in the spa section was yummy. Also really enjoyed the massages we had and the spa facilities, Millie was my massage therapist and even two days later my body feels better and looser! So thankyou too Millie! Overall what more could you want from a hotel/spa day! Hopefully we will return again in the future. Thankyou again to everyone at Fawsley!

Stay here without delay! Beautiful rooms, sink-into beds, stunning architecture and grounds, mouth-watering food, cocktails with a twist. Perfectly thought out spa, heavenly treatments and lovely acknowledgements for special occasions. But what really makes Fawsley fabulous is the staff! They are, without exception, warm, welcoming, professional, friendly, funny, attentive but not intrusive and many of them said how well they get on together! That's pretty rare to hear, so congratulations to all of you, well done to General Manager, Sunil Kanjanghat and thank you very much - we loved it and we'll be back!

We went for breakfast for my wife's birthday. The hotel grounds are kept immaculately and has a lovely peaceful feel to it. The service was excellent and breakfast was delicious. Our waiter, Feyzullah was excellent, caring and went the extra mile to provide an improptu tour of the main hall and gave us lots of historical facts about the place especially where Queen Elizabeth I stayed. Definitely will come again and recommend to all, couples and families!

The room was nice, but we were here for the tasting menu at £80pp and £65 on top for wine. Two of the five courses were fish, all of them were quite sweet - apple or beetroot or pickled cauliflower or honey dressing - and none of them were very good. The ham terrine was stringy, the veg was bland, and we didn’t have the dessert course because we were sweeted out - asked for the cheese board instead in the great hall, the sommelier nearly threw his toys out of the pram when we asked for something dry to go with the cheese; and in the great hall the fire was nearly out, the empty tables hadn’t been cleared, the drinks mats are sticky… such a beautiful setting and some fabulous staff but badly let down on a few fronts. 40 minutes later and we’re still waiting for the cheese board. Hubby said he’d pay £20 tops for the food. (Just had a member of staff say this is the busiest they’ve been since Christmas, so perhaps allowances should be made…).
