Comfort Suites Knoxville West - Farragut

Whenever I am in the Knoxville area no matter what part of Knoxville I'm in this is the only hotel I will stay at. It's up to date comfortable and I feel safe staying here. Their beds are amazing. I was supposed to check out Sunday but extended my stay to Monday so I could sleep all day Sunday then when I woke up Sunday at 6pm so I took an Ambien and slept the rest of the night. 😅😅😅 Also I used to work at this hotel for 3 years in the 90s so maybe that's why I like it so much. Breakfast could have been better but that's a result of the lame covid restrictions and rules so I'm not going to hold it against the hotel. Can't wait to be back.

Dirty sink - not cleaned, hair in sink Mirror not cleaned Tub/toilet dirty One trash can No Kleenex Two light sockets do not work Bed/ pillows linens have spots Countertops dirty, drink rings Microwave dirty Breakfast was not provided adequately during breakfast hours. Was out of food. Manager Kim telling me I don’t know why you would stay. Kim says she should have offered to put you in another room because we had other rooms available. No one offered me a different room and I was under the impression that the hotel was sold out with the football tournament. And upon arrival a bus load was checking in. Then manager keeps saying you shouldn’t have stayed. You should have looked for another hotel. Saying that it was my fault for staying and for cleaning the room. She offers to give me a $50 credit instead of refunding me for my entire stay. She made me feel like it all was my fault and I should have went elsewhere. I told her I did look for another place in my budget but other hotels were sold out. I then asked what was I supposed to do especially if your employee does not offer another room Change like she’s supposed to. The manager kept saying well that’s all your fault, I wouldn’t have stayed and I wouldn’t have cleaned that room. She said that room should have been out of service. She didn’t care about anything kept blaming it all on me when I was trying to do the best I could to make it work since her employees did not try to resolve the issues. I asked the employee at check in for light bulb before discovering the light sockets don’t work The employee tells me she doesn’t know where the light bulbs stay. I had to wait for manager to come in to get one. She was to busy with her boyfriend who was hanging out. I called customer service and they were worse offering me a free one night stay although I paid for two nights. Then rejected it after seeing the insulting $50 credit. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable for any hotel to treat their guests. No one who is the “victim” should be shamed for trying to make a very bad situation work given no one was willing to help and keep my business. Even with them still renovating this place for almost a year, it is horrible. Would never recommend.

I think the hotel has aged very well. I asked my counterpart traveling with me and he thought - ehhh - it's a Fairfield. But I think it's still nice - even years later. Sure, wallpaper is falling off, walls are marked - but just the color palate is happy and it's very clean. And unlike what seems like the rest of the Fairfields, their breakfast is back to normal. Two issues - one - road noise - need to remember to ask (at any Knoxville hotel) to not face the freeway. Usually my status automatically gets that. Two - a car alarm went off for like 15 mins - but not sure what they could do to stop that - but then with the road noise I couldn't sleep. It's a winner of a hotel for sure.
