Lakeside International Hotel

Frimley Green|1.38km from Quays Wake & Ski
Our initial room was unfit for use. Very poor decorative order. The receptionist gave us an alternative room. The main hotel building is tired, Exteriour Paint peeling, wood rotting, paved areas closed off due to broken paving slabs. The reception area is pretty good, over looked by a magnificent ceiling with stair cases leading to the upper floors. The bedrooms need refurbishment. Ours over looked the lake and the building where the darts championships were once held. From a distance that building appears unused. Alongside that building is a scruffy floating accomodation unit, with a fake paddle wheel. It appears to be tilting precariously to one side, suggesting it partly sitting on the bottom of the lake. Its an eyesore. In our building is the restraunt. Not too bad a place to eat. Breakfast was pretty good. No complaints. The staff who tended to us were fine. Across the lake are other buildings. The Cabaret Club and another hotel building. We looked from a distance towards those buildings. One of them is heavily Heras fenced off. Lots of what looked to be migrants too and frowing. We did not investigate any furthur. We did not enter any fenced off areas. Another point worth mentioning is that the spa /pool was closed. Looking through the windows, that part of the building is in need of major work. To sum up. Was it worth ?. Was I impressed ?. Would I return.? Sad to say, if there was no alternative local accomodation available then I MIGHT. Emphisize, MIGHT

Never stayed at SACO before. Price was competitive compared to hotel rooms, but we get a double bedroom, walk in wardrobe, living room, kitchen with washing machine etc & a large bathroom. Reception could not have been more helpful and there was free parking too. Location was good, next to Kingsmead and although I was worried about traffic noise, it was ok and we slept fine. Will stay again.

Absolutely great weekend, very nice stay. Food was good from the main menu, breakfast sausages weren't our favorites :D Special mention to the girl/lady on friday(30th/06), she reeeeeeeeeally helped me out, i had a big trouble, ha-ha. Also must mention Prabin? (Sorry i left the card what you gave) to serving us for 2 nights with a very kind and professional manner. (He was working friday, saturday nights, make sure he will know that he made us feel good.) Thabks for everything.

The hotel was brilliant. Fantastic value for money. Beautifully clean and spacious room. Easy to check in and out. Despite being a large hotel it was very peaceful and wasn’t disturbed. Pool and gym facilities looked great but didn’t get a chance to use them this time. Would definitely be back

Farnborough Travelodge staffs especially Kailash and Priti have been amazing. They greeted with warm smile and waited on us patiently as my group were deciding on their drink orders. They got our drinks right and served us efficiently . The location is excellent as it is only less than 10 mins walk away from the Farnborough train station . Overall mine and my friends experience has been really positive and friendly . Love it hope to be back .
The Falcon Hotel

Farnborough is an odd place in that we never found if there was a shopping area! The Falcon hotel is near the [private] airport but is not affected by it to any degree. The hotel has had mixed reviews and there is much to commend it. The staff and reception are friendly and the rooms and general surroundings are spotlessly clean. Of course the individual arrangements will influence any review; some rooms might be better and some worse. We had what is described as a superior room and it is difficult to identify any features to deserve that. The room had a large bed, wardrobe, bedside tables and a small desk. It was crowded and cramped. There was one chair [not an armchair] so nowhere comfortable to sit to watch TV. The bed was comfortable if a little low for me with a duvet [which had been tucked in, why?]. My main beef about the bedroom is that the curtains did not black out the light so the room was light by about 400am. Why do hotels not realise how essential this is for comfort. The bathroom was OK except that the door would not stay closed. The toilet was cramped and the seat was loose [needs a special fitting] and the shower which is over the bath was difficult to use as the taps took only a quarter turn from ”off” to ”full on”. There is a safely handle to aid getting in and out which is vital. Breakfast is served in a spacious and spotless restaurant with fresh linen table cloths. The diner fills in a small sheet with choices which was fine. The price is reasonable - about £85 for a double with breakfast.
