What a nice hotel! The room was clean, quiet and definitely value for money. Breakfast was unfailingly great, and the evening meal was excellent....I had fish of one sort or another every evening. Very comfortable hotel in every way. Happy, helpful staff who were genuinely interested in providing the best service possible. We went as part of a coach party of not-so-young people, and every one loved the place. We will certainly return.

The views are spectacular (if you pay more to face the sea!) but the hotel accommodation is basic and run down. The price is around £100 for a small double room and breakfast - which a is a little on the high side given the quality and wear of the room and hallways. It seems to have an attraction to OAP’s who arrive daily by the coach load, and so the decor, background music/atmosphere caters to more of their tastes. Furniture is worn and tired in places, not a great attention to detail in bathrooms etc. My bedroom door rattled tremendously in the frame, so I have to wedge it with packets of sugar! The bed was old and felt like a lumpy iron board, and so naturally I slept terribly. There are fire doors throughout so they slam unnecessarily throughout the evening. Breakfast was sufficient, neither particularly lacking or special. Cereals are juices are available, and a ‘full English’ that consists of a child’s size portion of the usual suspects - greasy but tasty. It would be a budget place to stay if it were £60-70 all in, but at over £200 for 2 rooms, it’s a bit of a joke. Modernisation is required, carpets and furniture replaced, better attention to detail, new mattresses etc.

Not very impressed. Internet very weak and persistently cutting out. Room was clean and acceptable as it had been recently renovated. Unfortunately it was renovated by an unskilled and uncaring workforce and shouted out a quick and cheap rush job. The shower and toilet was tiny with the hand rail and shower head incorrectly positioned. Wash basin not fitted correctly with a loose unfixed support and more. Food was very good but the service not so. Had to ask for clean glasses and saucers in the mornings, milk jugs empty at breakfast. The waiting on staff were young and pleasant but unskilled and showed lack of adequate training. They were very nice to talk to but too busy talking to each other. A 20 minute wait to be served at the over priced bar in the evening is not acceptable . For the prices charged overall, I would expect better. I marked it as average but that is generous.

In general the hotel is OK and the rooms very clean but we have stayed in much better for much less. The internet was unreliable and slow as well as subject to persistent crashing. The rooms have been recently updated but the quality of the fittings and the actual finish is very poor and below acceptable standards. The wash basin was not fixed properly and the pedestal just stood loosely on the floor without any kind of fixing. Waiting 15 minutes to be served at the bar in the evening is not acceptable. I tried to find someone without success and the only member of staff around was conducting a quiz for the coach party. Breakfast was good but the staff require some basic training in serving and manners. We left a day early very disappointed. The breakfast staff were too eager to get away on time or do other things rather than concentrate on the guests. At breakfast times I had to ask for clean glasses for the juice, saucers for the coffee cups, a bowl for the cereal, milk and yoghurt. All things that should have been laid out on the tables in the self serve buffet area. I did tell the receptionist all this when we checked out and she did seem interested. The owners/managers really need to take a good look around and look at things from the customers viewpoint rather than what suits them.

My friend and I stayed here on a 5 day coach trip with David Ogden coaches and I can honestly say that this hotel and staff were some of the friendliest and most helpful people that we’ve come across! Any problems were dealt with quickly and efficiently. The rooms were spacious, clean and up to date with hand, shower and shampoo provided along with all the usual facilities - hairdryer, tea, coffee etc., there is also a hot tub and spa for a small charge. The food was exceptionally good and lovely choices for breakfasts and dinner including a different fresh fish choice every day! The chef deserves complimenting as he certainly knows his stuff!! Great waiters and reception staff and Matthew on the bar went over and above to make everyone’s time there memorable. The hotel has beautiful views and a lovely sunroom overlooking the sea and is only a short walk to Gylly beach and Falmouth. There is a shuttle bus to town and a bus stop next to the hotel if public transport is needed. I would highly recommend this fabulous hotel which is also open to non-residents.

The hotel is well placed and views were great but downside was the he hotel is in need of some renovation and updating. The room didn’t have a dressing table as was a bed and chair. The staff were great and attentive and breakfast was good. The only thing is we were the only ones in a large room so a bit lacking in atmosphere. Overall staff were a positive but the hotel is not one I would recommend as its really sold on location alone which for me isn’t enough to return

Wonderful welcome. Marvelous staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Sea view from bedroom. Room very clean. Serviced daily if you wanted. Comfortable bed.Warm heater. Openable window. Delicious food and plenty of it. Daily choice of fish, meat or vegetarian for breakfast and dinner. Lift. Easy walks either to Falmouth or to Pendennis Castle. Entertainment every evening included magic and a brass band playing Christmas requests
