Inn on the Square

We called when we booked and were told that the pool was open. This was important as it was a bit of a staycation and our 4 year-old son was excited to swim in the pool. When we arrived, it was not open, and it did not even appear to be actively under cleaning or repair. Also note: the pool area looks nothing like the photos. On our day to leave, the maid tried to get in 5 minutes before 11AM (the very early check-out time). Then, as we were leaving, 10 minutes later, the front desk called, presumably to tell us to get out. The hotel was not at all busy and this, combined with the pool experience (or lack thereof), left a bad taste in our mouth. We come to the area often and will not return. Also note: we were told that they were going to start charging an Amenity Fee - two days after we were departing. I have no clue what this fee could possibly cover, as they don't have a gym, and the pool does not even have furniture, so buyer beware.

The surrounding environment is comfortable, very close to the seaside, the camper van is fully equipped, there are many stars at night, and there are sufficient heating supplies. It is very suitable for families and friends to travel together!
Holiday Inn Cape Cod-Falmouth

Not the best hotel but still rated it high due to the location. Was very close to Steamship Authority and Main St. Walking distance. Which was the primary reason we selected it. Not to mention cost, much cheaper than other hotels in the area. We did not want to stay somewhere that was low in standard but also did not want to over spend. This location was in the middle and even better since it was an IHG hotel.
