POSITIVES Location! Couldn't ask for better. It was brilliant. The picture with this review shows the street where the hotel is. You can see Hotel du Palais's sign in Blue. Staff were very friendly and aimed to please at every interaction. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Yes they are dated and a bit tired in places but this is a budget hotel and the price for the rooms reflects this. Parking easy to access from the hotel and very secure. If returning to Evian - I would 100% stay here again! NEGATIVES Check in is not until 3pm which we understand but we went to drop our bags off at 1.30pm and found that reception was closed until 3pm. We also had to park our car up at an alternative car park until 3pm so had to pay their fee plus the hotels 11 euro daily fee once we checked in. WiFi in the room was very patchy but we were at the end of the hallway. The manager became aware of this the day we checked out and seemed keen to sort this out.

It's been a long time since I've experienced a hotel like this.. an old room with an improvised toilet made out of a part of the room. Noisy. Cynical staff. Synthetic everything. Not a single amenity to make you feel human. To give a place like this 2 stars is a sham.

Very helpful and welcoming friendly staff. We had a little door issue which was fixed within seconds, with a smile and a nice chat with the owner. The hotel is in good condition and always improving as this was our third stay. Definitely recommended if you're looking for a clean, simple and nice place in Evian!

Personnel sympathique ( le seul que l’on a vu pendant le séjour 😂, souriant et aimable ). Emplacement : 5/5 Parking : 5/5 Confort : 2/5 Wifi : 1/5 Propreté : 2/5 * Douche à ne pas recommander pour les personnes 1m90 et 90 kilos, vous ne fermerez pas la porte * Chambre non faite pendant le séjour ( pas de nouvelles serviettes, lits non refaits , etc …. Hôtel très vieillot avec un potentiel énorme vu sa situation mais nécessitant des gros travaux. * Petit déjeuner moyen Clairement ne vaut pas le tarif facturé même si encore une fois la personne a l’accueil est sympa.

Attention ! Ce sont des voleurs. Je viens de vivre un bien mauvaise expérience. J'ai réservé à la dernière minute via une application qui enregistre vos coordonnées bancaires. J'ai réservé et j'ai ensuite envoyé un message pour vérifier que l'hôtel acceptait les chèques vacances, ils m'ont répondu qu'ils ne les acceptait plus, j'ai donc annulé ma réservation quelques minutes après. Mais il m'ont débité le montant de la chambre, le service de l'application me donne raison mais l'hôtel se retranche derrière le fait que je ne pouvais plus annuler. Quel manque de bienveillance et d'honnêteté.

Très bonne expérience dans cet hôtel. Le personnel est très accueillant et arrangeant. Les chambres sont certes à rafraîchir mais l’emplacement en plein cœur de la ville et la gentillesse des employés rattrape largement le tir. Je recommande.

très mal accueilli, réceptionniste mal poli et indifférent. chambre propre ,mobilier rustique, salle de bain très ancienne mais fonctionnelle. hôtel pas accueillant à tous points de vue, bien situé par rapport au centre ville et au lac
