Prettiest hotel I have ever been to! Food was excellent! The sauna and gym were great! Hotel was peaceful and beautiful! Clean and comfortable bed! Might be abit far from tourist attractions but there is a bus stop right outside!

Lovely family run inn, very hospitable with spacious rooms and grounds. Food was excellent and the owners and staff made us very welcome. Well located for exploring the region’s wonderful countryside and lakes. Good storage for bikes also. We would happily return.

A boutique hotel merely 15 min away from the centre of Salzburg and Airport. The service was amazing and everyone was very helpful and cheerful. The owner himself is very closely involved in the operations of the hotel and it shows how well managed the hotel is and amazing care for all guests. The team is super flexible with every request. The food is delicious and the breakfast spread has many options for vegetarians. The rooms are large and very spacious. Our 17 month old daughter fell sick during our stay and the owner arranged a doctor on call within 15 min of reporting it. Many thanks for an amazing experience, stay and support. I will highly recommend staying at this property. If I am ever in Salzburg, this is where I will stay.

I traveled alone with my dog and felt really welcome. I got a beautiful room with access to the garden for the dog, which was unique; it was also nice and quiet and had lots of greenery, i.e. a garden. A sauna visit in the really nice wellness area was also possible. And the breakfast is also highly recommended.

I stayed in a room with high-quality solid wood furniture and a terrace. There was even a seating area like in a farmhouse parlor. The large sauna area was lovely, and is also used as a day spa by the locals, who can spend a long time in the sauna. The guest house is very quaint and in summer it has a lovely outdoor seating area. I would particularly like to highlight the friendly staff. Good location for trips to Salzburg and the countryside.

Very nice rooms, very good food, staff very friendly, polite and attentive. One waiter deserves special mention - I think his name was Max (extremely friendly and courteous and absolutely "authentic"). Many "Germans" at home could learn a thing or two from him.

My friends and I were at the Holznerwirt for the third time to spend a day with our cars on the Salzburgring, 10 minutes away. A great, long-established, well-run inn. Everything was very well maintained, the rooms were in perfect condition. The staff, especially the manager, are extremely friendly and professional. But the highlight of the house: the restaurant and the breakfast buffet. Austrian cuisine to kneel down on! We would be happy to come back. Keep it up!

We booked a triple room with an additional cot here via email. At the reception everyone was very courteous and kind, always available. The hotel is very well looked after, it also has a small swimming pool and a sauna. The room was very large and very clean. The only flaw (but in Austria when you don't stay in large hotel chains it's frequent) was the lack of air conditioning. During the year it is not a problem, but we stayed in a week of exceptional heat (32°C in Salzburg is an exception) and the absence of the climate was felt especially at night. The breakfast is excellent, the staff are very kind like in the restaurant. Watch out for the restaurant closing time on Monday!
