This was our third visit; we stayed here twice in our recent French road trip, lured back after an exceptional two day break last summer. The château is stunning, staff are pleasant and welcoming. Our rooms were thoughtfully furnished, cool and comfortable. On our visit last year and our first this summer, the weather was good enough to enjoy a glass of champagne whilst overlooking the moat. Last weekend was very autumnal so we ventured into the very comfortable salon where there are books to borrow, games to play and plenty of plush seating in which to relax. It made us plan a potential winter trip, imagining drinks in front of the fire. We enjoyed the two night gastronomie break and very much enjoyed all our meals. My only slight criticism here is that the menus only change seasonally; were we staying for more than two nights, the choice would be very limited. We had the same menu on both visits this summer despite them being almost three weeks apart. Next time , if we stay again on our way south and again north, we would have one meal in the bistro at the end of the drive, just for the sake of variety. Staff at the restaurant are universally excellent and took the time to indulge us speaking our rather rusty French. I would completely recommend asking the sommelier for the flight of wines to match each course - it is always superb. Breakfast is a leisurely affair with everything you could need and great coffee. Again, staff are warm and welcoming - with a special mention to the lovely lady in breakfast who is always so friendly. Writing this, I just wish that I was back there now!

This is a stunning place to stay, from the grand entrance to the estate, to the moat, to the lovely staircase and original features. The chateau oozes history and understated class from every pore. The rooms are spacious and quirky, and the one we had was wonderfully quiet. We had driven down from Rotterdam so in need of a good night’s sleep, a wish which we were grateful to be able to fulfil. Dinner was taken in a restaurant just outside the chateau grounds but which belongs to the hotel. It was excellent and is reviewed elsewhere. Breakfast was served in the chateau and was frankly excellent. We were sorry our road trip only allowed for one night here. We will return, probably amusing chateau as a base for a more extensive tour of the champagne region, An easy recommendation it was excellent, fuss-free, and beautiful.

Whilst visiting champagne we stayed here for a night and had dinner in the restaurant. The setting is absolutely stunning with the old chateau and the Moat Amazing cheeseboard after the desert Well worth visiting this stunning place

Very relaxed chateau hotel, stunning with a moat and large gardens. We stayed in the Coach House which was very comfortable and with a lift. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and we had a delicious glass of champagne in the drawing room in front of a log fire. We ate at the Bistrot, a 5 minute walk which is functional and very busy but not very French. We skipped breakfast as it is rather expensive.

We had booked this hotel for one night but ended up spending 2 as our classic car broke down on the 2nd day. We were therefore in 2 separate rooms in the main chateau. We have stayed several times before at this hotel before Covid. This is a very comfortable hotel with spacious bedrooms. The previous times we stayed in the new part of the hotel which had air conditioning whereas the rooms in the main chateau do not. Although it was very warm weather the lack of air conditioning did not affect us and the style and size of the rooms made up for this. The only disappointment was that the main hotel restaurant is now closed on a Monday and Tuesday evening (When we were there). However, since our last stay a brasseries just outside the hotel but belonging to the property, has opened is fine but not a patch on the main restaurant. Overall a very nice property. Not super luxury but very good 4 star.

Rooms were not well maintained for example old musty smell and slippery wood floors. No elevator access and guests were invited to carry their own bags down multiple steps. No entertainment, surrounding area looked like a ghost town. Breakfast in the sunny yellow room was nice. Perhaps this property was once grand but no longer.

We had a room in the Orangery which was air conditioned (very necessary given the temperature) - not sure the rooms in the main house have A/C. Room was comfortable, lighting in the bathroom needed improving. Really lovely setting - the chateau traces its origins back several centuries and was once a proper castle so it has a moat. The grounds are quite large so places to walk and sit.

really impressive Chateau, disappointing the main restaurant was closed on Monday but the Bistro was still good. Will be back

Lovely chateau, marred slightly by only being dog friendly in the hotel, (for €30 per night), not in the restaurant, and not in the breakfast area. That’s fine, but we would have chosen elsewhere if we had known. The nearest restaurant is 14 km away and the gates are closed on return- we had the code, but it’s just not friendly.
