Hyatt Vacation Club at Coconut Cove
4.4/5101 Reviews
Wr have been Hyatt owners for 20 years. The property is absolutely stunning as well as the lazy river and pools. Although our air conditioner broke twice the second time they came up, it was fixed properly. The trip to the private beach was mediocre at best, we went once and will not go back. We ordered 2 drinks and after 50 minutes we decided to leave but was charged anyway. We are still here, but I did go to the front desk and they said it would be taken off, we will see upon check out. The gaming room is five dollars an hour per child. I was offered a fan I had to ask for it three times and I still never got it on the fourth time, I finally got some kind of air purifier thing that made our room smell very weird and offered no relief as far as air circulation, all I wanted was a fan for my room because it was still warm in there. In the master bathroom, the repair of the tile, it looks very, very unprofessionally done, it's actually kind of embarrassing, especially for the type of property that this place is. Went to get a pillow out of the spare bedroom closet and there was hair all over it. Went to exchange pool towels we were told that it would be twenty minutes and that if we needed them immediately, we could go and get our own from the front desk. The bottles in the shower were either missing product or we had multiple of the same and none of one, like one shampoo and two conditioners, no body wash. The ceiling fans in the rooms and patios go so slow and are of no use. We always say at the Wild Oak Rqmch in San Antonio, that is our home property, and is definitely much more well run than this property. I was told that there are water slides here, there are none. As we sit outside on our patio it smells like raw sewer. We were definitely disappointed in this property and we were so excited to come here, but there are definitely some things that need major improvement. But again, the pool, the lazy river, can't get any better than this place, it is absolutely breathtaking here. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous.
Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa Near Naples

It has been awhile since we have vacationed at this gorgeous resort. From the minute you walk into the lobby you smell that beautiful aroma and are welcomed with a glass of champagne. The landscaping is so nice and tropic. All the pools, lazy river and slides are extremely clean and so much fun to spend time at everyone of them. We always enjoy taking the elevator down to the pool grounds as you walk through a tunnel with a beautiful mural on the walls. It's like walking thru the ocean (picture below). The Cork Screw pool bar has very good food, plenty to drink and very nice servers. Mangroves is a nice lounge and also has very good food. Our server Cierra was wonderful. She took very good care of us and was so nice to talk too! Thursday, the day of hurricane Helene, the hotel closed down all the pools and had all the entrances/exits closed and sandbagged, except the front lobby. You were free to come and go. Understandably as they wanted to keep all the guests safe from the storm. One of the best things to do is to take the ferry over to the beach. We saw dolphins every morning riding along the ferry. It was such a great way to start the day. The beach is beautiful and you practically have it all to yourself. Not crowded at all and very clean. Wonderful vacation!
Embassy Suites by Hilton Fort Myers Estero
4.4/5100 Reviews
I've been staying at Embassy Suites for over 30 years and have watched the slow and steady decline of this once respectable brand. It's out of character for Hilton to allow their properties to decline in this fashion but the ES in Estero certainly fits that bill. First of all, the staff is professional and helpful. No problem here. The exterior of the building looks great and the front desk area is new, clean and welcoming. Once you leave the front desk area the property goes down hill fast. The interior area which includes the bar, restaurant and common areas has not been renovated in at least 20 years old. This includes plastic flowers, mid 1990's green decor, worn our chairs and tables, tile floors with stained and worn out carpet. The bar area is small and very dated however the nightly happy hour is respectable. The rooms....hmmm.....the carpet is somewhat new but the rest of the room is old and dated. The furniture in living area is old and worn out with 1 sofa, 1 chair and 1 desk....that's it. The bathroom fixtures are very dated and the shower still has the 1995 Hilton shower curtain. The beds are at least 10 -12 years old. My bed had sleeping ruts in it which made for a tough nights sleep. There is no housekeeping!! If you want new towels, shampoo, etc, you can head down to the front desk and pick them up yourself!! It's obvious that the owner(s) are simply enjoying the $ coming in but have no intention of investing in renovations. We paid $300/night in the middle of the week. I understand it's peak season in SW Florida but this is a $159 - $179/night property at best. I'd give it 3 - 3.5 stars only because of the location and staff. Very disappointing overall. I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it to others. There's a Springhill Suites in the same parking lot. I'm sure Marriott does a better job of keeping their properties clean and up to date.
