After booking my holiday with the Villacana club the reception was very friendly and booked my transport from Malaga airport to the hotel also booked my return journey to the Malaga airport, (a private car), On arrival at reception they had already completed the check in and all they had to do was to give me my room key, they explained the locations of the pools, restaurants, gym and access to the beach, the accommodation was first class clean with all the towels toiletries that you would expect, the pool was clean the poolside bar accommodating with excellent food in all we had a wonderful holiday and I will book again next year.

Our family of 9 have just returned from a weeks holiday at Villacana. We had a 3 bed townhouse, and a one bed apartment. The accommodation was very nice! Spacious, lots of storage, clean and very comfortable. Both places had everything we needed. The actual resort is beautiful- especially the plants, gardens and walkways- all beautifully kept and clean! We enjoyed the pools beside the restaurant and also the tennis court. The staff at Villacana are very helpful and friendly- a special mention for Vanesa who responded with great patience and politeness to all of my queries prior to arriving at the resort and during our stay. Thank you Vanesa! My only suggestion - It would have been nice to have had some kind of entertainment during the evening, or perhaps during Happy Hour - a Spanish guitar player, or a Flamenco dancing group or something that the children would enjoy! You had to book up in either Estepona or Marbella for this, whereas a flamenco group coming to Villacana would have been great! The weather was not brilliant during our stay, with a few days of rain, but we still had a great week! Thank you Villacana, especially the hard working staff!

Convent location between two great cities. Easy bus ride to both. This location has a policy to to charge for electricity/wifi- the week was hot and we where concerned about uaing the AC and ramping up the bill The bed were hard and it was difficult to sleep at night..

From the moment we arrived we got the most welcoming welcome as we was worried we wouldn’t be able to check in straight away but we arrived at 1400 and got our Villa straight away, the staff there at reception Vanessa and Irene were so lovely that no matter what question I had for them they helped me in every way. The whole villa is so beautiful and the Maintenance team are there from the morning in the beaming hot sun maintaining the whole villa in which is kept to a high standard level. The housekeeping ladies are so nice and smiling and welcoming that my aunt checked out before us and forgot her jewellery and some what money behind and they held onto it till the day we departed to hand it over to us as they couldn’t contact her. I have never heard of a place that will be so thoughtful and helpful. It’s just such a beautiful place to see.. yes the location isn’t ideal but you have a beach there it’s in walking distance and Burger King to Lidl a walk away… to travel around use Bolt as it’s cheaper then a normal taxi, even from the airport to the villa and back it’s a 45min ride costing €75 with bolt. I’m missing the tranquility there and couldn’t get enough of looking at the plants and flowers especially the water fountain’s. Just an amazing place with amazing staff.

This urbanisation gated community is we thought, aimed predominantly at the over 50s. Very safe, secure and child free for the week we stayed. There are two main pools with one or two smaller ones closer to some of the properties. Villas are quiet with no loud music, 90 Miles restaurant is on site and Baobab bar, although seafront with a number of other hotel restaurants along a boarded walkway just outside of the resort are accessible via walking through the Macdonald resort gardens and through the electronic gate. Alternatively outside of the resort, a walk along main road to the bus stop will bring you to a number of traditional restaurants in Cancelada. Spoke with some of the long stay resident's during our stay and can't wait to return.

A simply wonderful place, clean, quiet and all staff friendly and courteous. Special mention for Andrea's and the staff at the bar area, the food was great and the service was great thank you guys. Location is great, rooms spacious and have all you need fir a great holiday.

This was our first visit here but won’t be our last. Our apartment was over two levels and well equipped for all you would need if you wanted to cook and dine here. There is a small shop on site (Lisa’s) but unfortunately this was closed when we arrived as she is limiting opening hours whilst it is low season but we found a small shop nearby with the help of reception to tide us over til next morning. There is also a restaurant on site called Gregorios and another on the beach where we ate lunch and this was very nice. I didn’t find the food at the pool bar anything to write home about though. The staff in the resort were all friendly and helpful. We ate out every day as there is a small town across the busy road ( crossed by a bridge) called Cancelada. This had varied restaurants all offering good quality food and drinks. We were only here for four days so didn’t bother with car hire but we were told the buses were good into Estepona centre (only 10 mins away) . I can’t confirm re public buses as we decided to use Uber taxis which were quick and efficient. Estepona is absolutely beautiful and I particularly liked the difference between bustling beach area and shops snd the quiet tranquil streets of the old town. A must see!!
