Mett Hotel & Beach Resort Marbella Estepona

Absolutely stunning hotel. The architecture and layout is beautiful. I had a sea view deluxe room with pool. Wow! Just wow! Worth every penny for the view. A little hidden oasis within the hotel. Loved looking at the sea and dipping in the pool (despite it being rather chilly as it is early in the season!) The main pool is buzzy and plenty of sun loungers available. The beach club was also lovely. Breakfast at the hotel is faultless. Probably the best a la carte eggs I've ever had at a hotel restaurant for breakfast. The fried eggs on hash browns were amazing!! The egg chef is clearly talented. Buffet options were brilliant. I do think the hotel should offer cava as part of the breakfast offering as many Spanish hotels include this on a breakfast buffet. I felt the Italian restaurant was expensive and not great food. The restaurant itself is very pretty and the musicians were excellent. I would not eat at the Italian again. The restaurant staff were very good though so it is a shame the restaurant is let down by its less than average food offering. Three members of staff were amazing during our visit. Nawal and Paula at the front desk were great! Fun, friendly and willing to help in any way possible. Marlene is brilliant at room service and delivering anything you need. Very professional and not intrusive which is hard to do when entering someone's bedroom. Lastly, don't forget to see Ella at METT boutique. She has some lovely pieces of clothing at reasonable prices. The jewellery shop next door is great too.

First the good stuff…. The hotel looks amazing and the pool area is beautiful! Our room was gorgeous with a pool outside the door and views of the ocean beyond. Breakfast is fantastic and the front desk staff are great. BUT it has issues, the food for room service and in the Italian restaurant is very poor quality and they generally need better trained staff and better management oversight. What really annoyed me was charging 90 Euro for Cava!!!! (Just go up the road to the Mercado and buy it for 3 Euro) other wine prices are fine but that is madness. Walk out the front, turn left and give Antigua Beach Club a try for much better prices.

The property and staff were amazing. It was beautifully decorated and the staff were very polite and couldn't do enough for us. The only minor issue was the music around the pool on some days was a little bit too loud in the afternoons and somewhat repetitive. I appreciate the pool vibes they were going for but a better choice of music to suit the audience would have been appreciated. Having said that the hotel did accommodate and turn it down a little. Overall greta hotel and fantastic experience. I wouldhighly recommend it.
