Ikos Andalusia

We have just completed a 5 night stay at Ikos Andalusia with our daughter and partner. All the staff worked extremely hard to provide us with a fantastic experience. Padma and Peter in guest relations were constantly making sure our experience was extra special. Vicky in Ouzo and Konstantina in The Beach club went out of their way to locate wine from Seasons when we requested it. All the restaurants provided excellent food and service as near to perfect as we have experienced. It’s a wonderful resort, lots of pools, very relaxed. Ikos transfers were great. We will be back

The atmosphere of this hotel is amazing - it’s very clean, classy and the staff are generally super helpful and so friendly! We went with our 9 month old son and the serving staff couldn’t have been more lovely and welcoming to him wherever we went! We went deluxe and the pool was stunning although quite cold at the beginning and end of the week - weirdly it was wonderfully heated in the middle of our stay and then went cold again? A shout out to DORA who was our drinks waitress and was the nicest lady ever!! Super efficient, friendly and just all round amazing :) Food wise it was generally good but sometimes a little bit ‘style over substance’ we felt. Ouzo did a great lunch and the buffet restaurant had a brilliant food standard although the service there was unfortunately pretty awful! The a la carte restaurants have good service but sometimes a little hit and miss with food, like for example in the Spanish restaurant oliva their aioli just tasted like mayo, no garlic flavour at all? And yet in the buffet restaurant they had aioli that was amazing! But yes generally a fabulous holiday and would recommend for other families with children.

Pros : Lovely pools (good adults only areas) Staff/service everywhere is excellent Restaurants good, adults only areas large Service around pools excellent both drinks and towel attendants Lovely bike ride along promenade Wine tasting was great. Cons : Rooms far far too small (no storage at all, terrible design Balcony furniture odd for size of balcony, can’t we just have a proper chair and table? No bedside storage, just small plate size table🤷🏻‍♀️ ot even enough room for phone and glass of water- crazy) All food very very salty Main toilet around restaurants catering for pools too so used a lot (both wet feet from pools and dry from restaurants so floors and toilets permanently wet) making them a bit grim and smelly. Beach disappointing not good for swimming or even to stroll on. No views, hedge blocking view of the sea from sunbeds. We want to see the sea! No views generally Room service when we arrived late (after delay) was terrible. Not a patch on previous years. Not good quality at all, how hard can a Caesar salad be? Late check in and we didn’t even get offered a glass of water after an hour transfer from the airport. Courtesy room at end of stay all allocated, no late check out from room so had to shower in the Spa, not ideal. Andalusia felt very much like a normal good quality resort, high blocks around central area not spread out. Restaurants all felt very much on top of each other. In conclusion as a family we won’t be returning to Andalusia, disappointing. (Not that it affected us but the Luxury area looked very under whelming too, didn’t look like it was worth the extra cost!) Possibly you are paying for location (Marbella) rather than the usual Ikos quality of space and design. First timers - definitely head to the Greek resorts, regulars will no doubt go back to their favourites.

Just back from a 10 night stay at Ikos Andalusia and decided to write a review given my very positive experience. We have stayed at various 5 Star All-Inclusive Hotels over the years but our break at this hotel was one of the best. From initial arrival the reception staff at the hotel were so attentive and genuinely welcoming and this continued for the duration of the stay. We were allocated a specific member of staff who booked us in and took time to explain all the details of the hotel, from where we were staying, to the various restaurants, facilities and activities. Our initial impressions were hugely positive and the main lobby area is fashionable and chic with wonderful views of the hotel and beach-sea beyond. At this point it is worth mentioning the beautifully landscaped garden which were a constant pleasure for us during our stay. Our room was as we expected and over the course of our stay we were really impressed with the daily housekeeping team who looked after all our needs. We opted for a Superior Double Room with a Garden View which has vistas of the mountains beyond. We made good use of the hotel’s facilities Including the indoor/outdoor gym and there are so many activities for all age groups including classes, free cycles and water sports. Our preference was for one of the more quieter pools to lounge around but there are numerous other pools for all ages and tastes. The pool staff provided towel, drinks and an even sunglasses cleaning service and took time speak and ensure any requests were met. In terms of food, we enjoyed dinner in a different specialty restaurant each night and the dishes were delicious and the staff outstanding. If you are a foodie or a wine connoisseur then you will enjoy yourself! I’m not a wine expert but enjoyed chatting with staff who were always excited to explain the speciality wine menu and encouraged me to sample different beverages. Their passion, enthusiasm and genuine customer care is what makes the Ikos brand/ethos stand apart from other hotel brands. Many holiday makers always have their own views on a buffet style restaurant but I have to say that Flavors was the best I’ve ever dined at. A particular mention to Razvan, Sofia and Darko who run this superbly well and the staff and food was everything I could have asked for. So in summary, a really relaxing and enjoyable experience at Ikos Andalusia and we had a wonderful holiday. Would I go back to Ikos Andalusia? Yes absolutely and if you are considering this resort then go for it!!.

Amazing resort, beautiful location and great service. All the staff went the extra mile to make our holidays an absolute pleasure, Eva and Norah from room service, the guys at the beach rental, Thomas in the cocktail bar, Athina and Marian in the family pool, Nayet and Eleana in the reception, the car rental desk, Vicky in restaurant Anaya, all of them went above and beyond and made us enjoy every single minute of the holidays!

Wonderful experience from start to finish. Above all the wonderful food, drinks and facilities, all of which are in abundance, the IKOS team are the ones who make the experience for me each time. They put the heart into the resort. The guest relations manager. Pilar was amazing and went above and beyond in helping arrange birthday celebrations for my mum, honestly blown away. We had a very warm welcome from Maria on arrival, again very attentive and professional. A trip wouldn’t be the same without the wine tasting. The sommelier. Athanasia passionately shares her knowledge and love of wine in such an enthusiastic way. Very happy to make recommendations too. Thank you Pilar, Maria and Athanasia. We will be back 😊

So after reading the wonderful reviews for this hotel I decided to treat my husband for his special birthday. When we arrived we were delighted with the aesthetics with 9 pools and many amazingly decorated restaurants. The service we received from being picked up in a chauffeur driven mini bus to the pool attendants was incredible, the staff really can’t do enough to help you and make your stay truly memorable. Unfortunately even the service and decor couldn’t hide the 3 main faults we found. Firstly being beach lovers we were disappointed with the dark dusty sand and rocky seaweed strewn entrance to see to sea which made it almost impossible to swim in. Secondly being a cocktail drinker I tried 4 different cocktails in 3 different bars and each one was poorly made and was either too strong or just tasted wrong. The bar star need mixology training. Lastly being a couple on our own we hoped to be entertained with quality shows in the evening and although the 7 performers were very talented we didn’t expect at a 5star resort for the same performers to be in every show every night just a different theme. This is an expensive hotel with budget entertainment. Overall we were disappointed in our stay and don’t think it represents good value for money.

The resort is really nice, quite but family friendly. The food is good and you can choose between a lot of restaurants. Mr.Darko from the restaurant is very friendly and helpful. The nature is really amazing. It was a great experience and nice stay.

One of the best holidays we have had. From the welcome, to our departure, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. All restaurants are good, but the Beach Club exceeded our expectations. Special mention also to Mohammed in the lobby bar who goes the extra mile to make you feel special. We have already made a repeat reservation for next year. Wholly recommend this resort.
