Ikos Andalusia

Amazing hotel, the service levels match or better Dubai, Great location the staff were brilliant from start to finish, special mention to Carola the reception Manager and Peter who made the stay perfect. The car service provided for the day by the hotel and the lunch provided was a lovely touch with Peter recommendations to visit some of the local areas such as Ronda was beautiful. The restaurants were fantastic especially the Indian Night at the buffet really nice food cooked the way it should be. We will be back 100%, I thought the Sani resorts were good but this IKOS Andalusia has topped them all with the amazing rooms, Service and the great vibe this hotel offers nothing was to much trouble at all.

Best hotel chain I've ever encountered. Could not fault it if I tried. Staff service above outstanding, always ensuring the best experience. Food choice and quality outstanding . Seven pool areas and numerous restaurants ensure it never seems overcrowded. Can't wait to try another Ikos hotel

We stayed for 10 nights last October . Extremely disappointed with the level of service and quality of food. This holiday was expensive. The food was cold the wine was hot and 9/10 times they got our order wrong.. there was only two of us. They state they have over 300 wines to choose from - yet in the Olivia restaurant they hadn’t any Sauvignon Blanc. The wine is not chilled, totally unacceptable. No premium cuts of steak, only in the Deluxe restaurant which we could only get into one night out of the 10. Kids were cycling bicycles around the main bar in the evening, again totally unacceptable. The mini bar was filled with local spirits and getting Jameson or any branded items was a hassle. Having been to Dassia & Andalusia I think that’s us done with the Ikos chain, very overrated. Way better value & higher level of service for considerably less money in Turkey.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We had been to Aria previously and were won over by the brand. Andalusia is no different, amazing food, service, activities, drinks and ambience. We travelled as a family with 2 boys aged 7 and 11 and another couple, the boys absolutely loved it, we enjoyed taking the bikes along the coastal path, it was a beautiful ride. It was our 10 year anniversary and the staff sent champagne, cakes and balloons up to our room, the little touches make all the difference. The food is always amazing in the restaurants, but Seasons was by far the best restaurant there. Overall, we loved this Spanish addition to the IKOS brand. We cannot wait to try more IKOS hotels.

Preface: This was our second visit to IKOS Andalusia as deluxe guests ( first was April 2022 ) and we’ve been to numerous other IKOS resorts over the past couple of years. After a disappointing first visit, IKOS Andalusia pleasantly surprised us this time around and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The changes to the Deluxe area ( new pool, suites and restaurant ) made a huge difference and definitely make it worth staying Deluxe if that’s an option for you. As prices have gone up a lot in the past two years, we swopped our usual one bed suite for a junior suite seafront and while not as spacious, the view was fantastic - right on the sea which was lovely listening to the sound of the waves at night. We have a now three year old and IKOS is so great for children - the kids entertainment is a highlight. The staff are also fantastic with preschoolers - Dora around the Deluxe pool was a real delight and our daughter. Although busy ( we didn’t visit the main pool or the buffet ) there were always sunbeds and it never felt crowded. However, book your restaurants in advance. Food was good in all restaurants, not that memorable, but good enough. Ouzo is still our favourite where the food is delicious. Only thing we didn’t love about dining is the segregated areas for those with children and those without - although I fully understand the reasoning, it made those with young children feel a little ostracised which was particularly apparent at the chiringuito for “dinner by the sea” where anyone with children wasn’t allowed to sit on the beach which definitely ruined the experience for us especially as the first setting. We weren’t the only ones who complained. The only other negative was that the Deluxe pool was too cold for our daughter who ( along with other children ) after a first dip refused to get in again. All in all we had a great trip and would be happy to return - it’s an easy destination for late summer.

We had a really enjoyable 10 night stay in this hotel. We had previously stayed at the Olivia during covid and made the decision to stay here during the later stages of covid when limited travel was still a thing! The resort was pretty new and was certainly a 5 star property. It is certainly more compact than the Olivia but beautifully finished everywhere. The food as expected was superb and our second stay in an Ikos Resort was as enjoyable as the first. We even spotted the odd celeb! We didn't spend much time on the beach as it is pretty stoney but with the number of pools at the hotel there is little need to spend time on the beach. The pools are heated so the kids spent the day splashing about. The location is a little remote but I am not sure there is a need to leave to be honest, we took the bikes for a ride along the beach which was lovely and took a taxi into Marbella two evenings for a bite to eat which is about a 30 minute taxi ride away. If there was a negative it would have been that as a deluxe guest we didn't really feel there was any benefit to same. While the was a dedicated deluxe pool it was just the same as one of the others boxed in at the end. The only real benefit we enjoyed was the use of the Deluxe outdoor bar. This was certainly disappointing, that being said I understand that a proper separate deluxe pool has now been added with an additional restaurant. We are heading back in April of next year so I will check that out then!
