My husband and I stayed here this past weekend for our 10 yr anniversary and we will be back. This is the cutest little inn. The rooms were spotless, bed was so comfortable and the property very clean and safe. Walking distance to restaurants and antique stores. We loved it. The staff was so friendly and welcoming.

Shea’s is the best! From the second you arrive on the property it is absolutely wonderful! We have stayed several times and will continue to keep going back! The staff is amazing! Gayle always goes above and beyond. The rooms are always clean and comfortable! Decorated in cozy beach cottage! Always feel right at home. The views are amazing. Can’t beat sitting in an Adirondack chair and watching sunrise and sunset. I can’t say enough great things about Shea’s! I can’t wait to be back!

The reviews convinced me to book this place and it did not disappoint. This place is absolutely fabulous, a beautiful blend of the antique and modern. Every touch is there to make your stay comfortable and welcome. The staff is so conscientious and personable. Old houses (restored to perfection) are impossible to imitate. There's nothing like it. We were blown away by the authenticity, the luxury, the views, and the personal attention. Right in the heart of the richly historic shipbuilding town of Essex, walkable to all the interesting historic places. A perfect New England weekend.

We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be coming back! My partner and I stayed in the cottage. It was very spacious, clean and beautiful. Nice, quiet area, with a cafe just down the street that we walked to in the morning. Our favorite part was the waterfront view. Across the board 10/10 stars.

We came in for a Wedding in Ipswich last Friday and we were late getting to the hotel. The owner was more than kind in making sure we got keys and she even upgraded our room to an absolutely charming room with a fire place. It was clean and very comfortable. I would defiantly go back.

This unassuming Inn was a great place to stay in Essex. Beautiful view, lovely and clean. Friendly and accommodating staff. When we visit our son who live near Salem, we will stay here again! We were in the Inn, Room #4. Book a trip on Essex River Cruises.

This is such a sweet place! Rooms are simple, clean, and tasteful. Riverside location with beautiful seating area to hang out or watch sunset is fantastic. Great restaurants, including the famed Woodman's of Essex - are a walk away. I'll be back!

Lovely location, Clean rooms, bed was very soft, not sure I would be able to sleep in the bed for more than a couple night, Great views, This is the second year that we have stayed here, we liked it so much from last year that this was the choice for this year as well. easy check in for after hours.

The check in process was smooth with the limited staff hours. Everything I needed was in an envelope with instructions. The room was very clean. Bathroom looks like a recent refurbishment. Very nice. Towels, etc... good quality. Bed was comfortable. Room is spacious with 2 comfortable chairs and an ottoman. Balcony overlooked the salt marshes, very picturesque. Local bakeries for breakfast are excellent. Dunkin across the street you can get anywhere. This accomodation helped me really relax and enjoy my first trip to Cape Ann.
