The hotel is just a few minutes from the Philharmonie U-Bahn station or just a 15 minute walk from the main station and hence very nicely located. The staff are very professional and gave me a good welcome. The room was very well-kept and for the price, a good size. Excellent WiFi coverage at good connectivity speeds. Overall, a very nice stay in a very nice hotel.

The building is nicely furnished. It looks like a breeding plant. The entrance area is depressing, no attractive furniture or other furniture that give a guest even minimally the impression and feeling of being in a hotel. The mattress (at least in my room) is over, the room was rather modest. The bathroom and the room were clean. The walls are bright and I must say the room neighbors had a satisfactory evening or a satisfactory night. The price of € 70 for one night to the second is rather too high for this ”hotel” but experiences cost money.

Ich bin eine gebürtige Essenerin und kenne deshalb das Hotel schon ewig. Die Lage ist zentral, gegenüber vom Hauptbahnhof und mitten in der Stadt. Die Zimmer sind je nach Kategorie geräumig. Ich finde es toll, das man die Fenster öffnen kann. Auch die Betten sind bequem. Frühstück gegen Aufpreis, dort gibt es allerdings Verbesserungspotential. Trotzdem 100% Empfehlung

Business travel for Euroshop. Liked my stay and did not feel as formal as a hotel. Breakfast was good, warm breakfast was ok but got boring after the 3rd day. Staff helpful. I will go back to this hotel. Taxis and trains close to hotel. Rooms clean and bedding nice white linen. Good experience

We stayed at this hotel for two nights for a trade fair. I absolutely cannot agree with the previous speakers here. Everything was fine with us. The room in the main building was clean and well maintained. The hotel had problems with TV reception - we were made aware of this in advance and it was not a problem for us as we spent very little of our stay in the room. The television should work in the annex building - if desired we could have switched to it. The breakfast buffet was rich and delicious. Fresh fruit and chopped vegetables, a small selection of fresh rolls and various spreads and toppings and much more. You could choose soy milk as an alternative to milk. The service in the hotel was very friendly. A small drawback - our room was not made after the first night. Wasn't a problem for us as we were only staying for two nights. Maybe we just overlooked something here and it really wasn't included. Maybe these are also corona rules that we didn't know about. But as I said... Not so wild for us. The hotel is super centrally located - the city center, a large shopping center and the subway can easily be reached on foot.

I stayed here for a month whilst working in Essen. Receptionist friendly helpful and spoke excellent English. I was upgraded to an executive room, which was dated but clean and spacious and included a fridge. I was thankful for the air conditioning as the weather was hot at the time of my stay but would have preferred a sheet instead of the thick quilt. Breakfast was the standard offering but a rip off at €21 - you get a far better and cheaper breakfast at similar hotels. There’s a bar and an evening menu but this wasn’t always open however when it was the barman was great to have a chat with and get some local knowledge. There’s power sockets by the bedsides and WiFi was good. Location is good being just a 5 min walk to the underwhelming and disappointing city centre. It’s also only a 5 min walk to the metro which offers great value and for a fee of €9, gets you anywhere, although this was during a summer promotion. As a resident you get access to a gym across the road. The house keeping was at times quite poor with surfaces not wiped down. Overall a convenient place to stay but in need of modernisation which I think is a possibility in the future.

Always a good stay. Sometimes, during the night a little bit noisy, but is nothing. Next to the city centre, next to a shopping center, next to good restaurants, free parking in a garage and in the street... What else :)

I wanted to book my third visit to this hotel Unfortunately I contacted them by phone and by mail to make a booking. But... The first time by phone they asked me to call another time as they were busy. The second time, the second day, they told me that they already told me that they are busy to take my reservation and I need to send my request by mail. The mail was not answered So the third day I called and they told me that they will check my email when they are less busy. I didn't want to bother them further as they most probably are still busy doing anything else than taking care of their customers. Good luck if you want to book there and you have the same staff to handle your request. Jacques

Vanuit dit hotel is veel te bereiken op loopafstand. Gunstig dus. Wellicht goed voor diegene die aankomen om bij de rotonde al een bord te plaatsen met de naam van het hotel. Het hotel zelf is best trendy, heel en schoon te noemen. De receptie is 24 uur open. De bar stelt niet veel voor. Dat is jammer. De combinatie van receptionist en bediening van de bar is ook niet handig. De kamer is schoon en netjes. Wat ontbreekt zijn glazen en de dekbedden zijn synthetisch en dus veel te warm. Een betere instructie voor de airco/klimaat zou ook handig zijn. Van de info op tv word ik ook niet veel wijzer. Tijdens slapen het raam openlaten betekent veel lawaai vanaf de straat. Verder een prima basic kamer. Het ontbijt goed uitgebreid en helemaal niets mis mee. Parkeren binnen de hekken kost 10 euro per dag onnodig en niet klantvriendelijk. Voor een kort bezoek aan Oberhausen is dit een prima alternatief.

When we checked in; 1 agent checked us in while the other 2 just stared at us like we were aliens. One of them had a smirk on their face throughout my check-in, I wanted to ask what she thought was so funny with us checking into the hotel but I didn’t want to spoil the evening. They all started laughing when we left the checkin desk. Know that we are non-European. Very unwelcoming and unprofessional. I suggest cultural diversity training.
The beds were disgusting! Small strips of hair all over the fitted sheet. The Most Disgusting was the pee stain on the sheets! The bed smelled like piss too. It was supposed to be non-smoking but someone had been smoking in the room or the insulation/vent systems need more work. I didn’t want to deal with the unprofessional front desk staff so I suffered through the uncleanliness and just put 2 towels on top of the duvet just to feel at ease sleeping, even though we were only there for one night…Thank God I didn’t book for longer.
The only positive was breakfast; it was adequate for 1 night stay. Definitely won’t be spending another dime here.

GGuest UserA new, good address. The circumstances are of sound, high quality, the style of the hotel is in line with today's standard. Notably well-functioning the lifts, notably applied to the whole reception. The prices are fair, even cheap when selected carefully. The location of breakfast rooms is not very cheap. A great advantage is that there is a walk to a fitness studio and a bar in the house where you can find drinks even late night and evening, and above the one or the other bite. Gherardino

GGuest UserWow. What a trip that was to the Essen Spiel convention. And what an excellent hotel we have had the luck of booking a room into. Everything was top notch. We were given a room on the second floor, right across the elevator, in room 226. That was indeed super convenient, since for soundproofing, the windows were always shut, and I'm a smoker, so it made my outside trip to the smoking area easy. Everything in the room was where it should be. Plenty of sockets to plug our electronics in, a desk to put our convention stuff on and make our plans for the following day. Water pressure was spot on in the shower, all-in-one soap was naturally provided in a dispenser and filled daily. Room cleaning was done super meticulously in the morning and the cleaning people were nice and attentive when we happened to stumble upon them. All the staff we ran across were super nice and kind, even though we were always bugging them with annoying and trivial matters. The evening shift at the bar and reception really tried their best to satisfy our bothering demands. Hats off to them for putting up with us. I feel that we may have indeed tested their patience's limits. Despite all our best - or worst - but unintended in honesty - efforts to piss them off, they didn't even lose their smile. Great job, everyone! The cherry on top was the hotel's decision to open up a big room full of tables and chairs for the Spiel attendees to pass the night once the exhibition day was over. Really thoughtful and it's one of those small details that win people over. I'm looking forward to returning to the convention next year, and I'm sure I will be booking a room in this hotel alongside my plane and convention tickets. Keep it up, GHOTEL!

GGuest UserNice staff, clean rooms. The hotel asks for 15€/night parking fee. In front of the hotel there is a small parking 12€/24 hours. I parked on the street, there is enough space beginning 6-7pm. Street park cimes with a fee during the day 10am-8pm

GGuest UserDas Stay Hotel ist eine Preiswerte Alternative um in Essen zu übernachten. Zum Bahnhof und zur Stadtmitte mit seinen vielen Restaurants und Bars sind es nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß. Sauberes Zimmer ausgestattet mit Flach TV, Klimaanlage, Wasserkocher mit kostenlosen Kaffee und Tee Angebot. MANKO: Leider gibt es keinen Kühlschrank im Zimmer. Und auch das Boxspringbett ist gewöhnungsbedürftig!! ( Sehr weiche Matratze). Das kleine Bad hat nur eine Milchglastür zum zuschieben, so muss man sehr vertraut miteinander sein muss. Sehr lobenswert ist allerdings das Frühstücksbuffet!!! Es fehlt so gut wie an nichts und auch der Kaffee ist Excelent. Auch das Personal sehr ist sehr freundlich so das man das Stay Hotel bedingungslos Weiterempfehlen kann.

Convertised living house Hello-hearted windows poorly isolated rooms ice cold (in the evening and in the night heating runs to 0!) Bed deck too thin and kine extra deck in the room photos NOT correspond to the rooms! photos of L rooms are shown at M! On all portals. Rooms M as small (not possible to leave bags open!) as S, only varies in size of the bed. Deco on photos not available In reality Not clean (bathroom: urine traces at the toilet, fungus in the shower), gum at kitchen door, flirts on the table and bathroom door. Despite agreed early check-in the room was not ready No shower gel and shampoo No depot area in the bathroom No towels for example unpacked, old tea bags sticks behind bed, not useable. Extension cable was not available Although there were rooms available on portals, I was told when asked for a change, the hotel was completely located ... Location - though cheaply located to the railway station, But through the drinking hall in the neighborhood also some strange ”designs” in the street .... I was professional, but not because of a fair in food, but despite the fair - the price for these rooms and these services was an absolute bucking price. College has been charged here for €40,00 and more is not worth this hotel / room! Positive: fast internet Nespresso machine staff struggling for a further stay emir is offered an upgrade, but I will not be in this hotel return

The room was very clean, although close to the train station, but it was very clean nearby. The front desk brother of the hotel has a very good service attitude. However, the room space is not too big, the bathroom is relatively small.
