The location of the hotel is really great. It is in a quiet area, but not too far rom the city of Essen. The room was very clean and the breakfast was very good.

Hotel Sengelmannshof
The rooms and hotel are from the 70's !!
Old furniture, old TV, old wardrobe with a hanging door, double bed is two beds pushed together and of course they move apart !
If this hotel would have been priced at 65 -80 euro a night it might be an option but for 140 Euro a night and what you get "totally" overpriced .

Zimmer veraltet und lieblos. Altmodisch. Zimmerpreis mit 150€/Nacht steht nicht im Verhältnis. Sehr enttäuschend.

Das Hotel ist zu empfehlen. Weniger die Stadt Essen, deren "Politiker" wie (fast) überall nicht wirtschaften können. Und mit einer Bettensteuer Betrieben und Kunden schaden, um noch mehr Geld zum Verschwenden zu bekommen.

Voor één nacht was dit een goed hotel. Het avondeten was goed en ruim voldoende. Jammer dat er geen echte bar is en de "Keller" was gesloten. Het ontbijtbuffet was prima verzorgd.

Behalve de regelmatig overkomende vliegtuigen (niets aan te doen) een prima hotel met goede bedden, toch een rustige omgeving en een fatsoenlijk restaurant, heel handig. Alleen de douche zou wel een thermostaatkraan kunnnen gebruiken.
