The setting of this place above the roaring sea is beautiful, not the least at sunset. But we overheard the head waiter (or at least he was some sort of manager) scolding the staff & being really rude to them. We felt so sorry for the lovely staff & wish that that was a one time event.

A unique boutique riad in the heart of the old town. An absolutely stunning room which was a work of art. Everything about the room was of the highest quality and the attention to detail was amazing. Our room overlooked the ramparts . Wonderful views of the Atlantic. At night we slept to the sound of the waves. We have never stayed anywhere quite like it. The room was immaculately clean and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

I visited here for a brief drink at sunset. It was extremely busy and I was lucky to be accommodated. The views were amazing. There was a band playing that added to the party atmosphere though I wondered how it was for the residents of the hotel as the sound was clearly travelling down the centre of the riad. I would recommended booking if you want to go here. I would return, for the view. Salut Maroc sells alcohol

We had a great evening at Salut with live music. Madhi went above and beyond ensuring we were happy throughout the evening, he even helped the table next to us locate an item lost in the wind. Thank you Madhi and the Salut team, highly reccomend!!

The hotel is just an insta place. Rooms are quite dark and a bit damp. Service is not good, the staff is not vey service minded and friendly. Restaurant has one restroom in staircase, Food is ok. Go to the bar for drinks, do not pay for an expensive hotel room- lots of better places in Essaouira.

overpriced tourist trap! run by an english woman who treats badly local workers, and is rude to local moroccan guests. looks good in some photos only, real life lacks class or style, no taste at all. too much going on in a cramped space. really strange contrast in design of cheap touristic hostel and what tries to appear as fancy boutique hotel . typical tasteless British mish-mash of copied culture. food was no good, plenty better places to eat and to sleep! Don't bother

Such a brilliant atmosphere here! The tiny steps up to the roof bar are a little tricky for anyone less able but it’s worth the steady climb. Food marvellous, waiters entertaining and breathtaking views over the wild ocean. The live music was excellent and when it got dark the little lights and lanterns lit up our tables. It can be windy also take a jumper for the evening but they also provide blankets at the tables.
