"I looked up York Hotel on Ctrip and accidentally stayed in this treasure hotel. From the appearance of the entire hotel, the lobby, the corridor, to the room, everything is impeccable. The breakfast is also great. You can choose from a variety of types such as full English breakfast, which is cooked to order. I really love it. I am willing to come to York again for this hotel."

"Very expensive for a small room at the top of two flights of stairs. A standard double bed in a reasonable size room but the hotel is tired and in need of some real tlc. "

"The hotel was in a lovely location. With efficient service. The rooms may benefit from a little upgrade of carpets and the beams were dusty. The room we had used a shared bathroom which was fine to use however it was a walk down some stairs which are carpeted not most hygenic. The fire alarm went off at 6am and it did take owner 7 minutes to arrive to response and check. After this we were able to return to rooms for rest. The hotel is 35 mins walk from centre of York lovely when a nice day."

"A small villa, the room is clean and tidy, very warm and quiet, the service is very good and warm, we live on the 3rd floor, there is no elevator, the suitcase is the store to help get the room, parking is also convenient. The environment of Zhou is good, and it is convenient to travel. It takes 20 minutes to walk along the river to see the tourist attractions in the downtown area. Only breakfast is very expensive. Two nights a day is a pleasant experience."

"The staff are nice and friendly. There is car park at the back of the hotel. It was a nice and convenient location. We stay on the ground floor, only a few steps up, from the reception. It was very great, we don’t need prepare the sofa bed, they had done before our arrival. Only the cleanliness is a bit not up to standard. There is nail polish left on the desk and plastic clip on the floor. It is nice to provide tooth brushes and razors. However, no slippers can be provided, which is the only thing we had forgotten. The body and hand wash are locked, it was empty in the shower, we needed to call for refill. If we can move the one from the basin, then we don’t need to bother the staff. The worst is no sound proof at all. You can hear someone outside in the corridor and even next door. We can hear next door’s conversation clearly."

"Excellent hotel in a great location just outside York City Centre near the racecourse (shirt bus ride into the city), the room was well maintained and nicely decorated. Maybe a fridge would have been useful (looks like ours had been removed). Breakfast excellent and swimming pool very nice for a relaxing break."
