Quality Inn Escondido Downtown

Service and breakfast- The staff was friendly. The breakfast was good- waffle, eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, cereal, juice, coffee. The breakfast has to be picked up in the lobby and taken to your room to eat. This is not a good option for anyone traveling with a family. The room does not have a table, just a desk with one chair. So everyone else has to either eat standing or sit on the floor. Room- The room had comfortable beds and looked clean, but my socks told a very different story after walking on the tile ground for 20 minutes. (The bottoms of my socks were black). Bathroom- the toilet did not flush all the way unless you held the handle down until it was done. The shower had a several worn out spots on the bottom. The handle to turn on the shower had reverse controls. The handle had to be pointing to cold to get the hot water. Parking- It was hard to get into as you could only access the lot from one spot that was close to a traffic light. Once inside the parking lot there was plenty of places to park. Unexpected fees- In addition to the deposit they tell you about, they also require a $2 per night, per person cleaning fee. For children the night cleaning fee goes up to $10.

The room was not clean for sure.But the service and the parking was good.

I love the hardwood floors and the bed is always clean and comfortable.

Although the location is not that good, the staff were excellent and the rooms were clean and well maintained. The breakfast was comfortable and well stocked. I would definitely stay in this hotel again. It is centrally located and close to restaurants and Old Town.

Homeless presence and dirty conditions from them. Overall the stay was good with good friendly staff. Not high quality but for the price no real complaints.

Ok basic stay but below quality i expect from quality inn. Floors in room were dirty but rest room ok. $2 gratuity fee enforced for cleaning??? Isn’t cleaning part of the cost of renting room??? Just raise the room rate! Signs posted everywhere! Everyone needs a mask on the sign but absolutely no one does! Breakfast usual but u must take food back to your room for disease control??. WHAT.? Apparently charge for kids over 10 (sign). Lots of parking easy access. Ok stay but!,,,

The people that worked at this hotel were amazing and very friendly. I plan on coming back to stay in a month. I will recommend this place to anyone.

Booked and paid via *******. Upon checking in, I was charged a $2 cleaning fee and a $10 per child fee. Never heard about these fees. At breakfast, we are not allowed to serve ourselves. We had to wait in line for a lady to put a scoop of egg and three sausages on a plate. I asked for more eggs but was rejected. The only plus side is that the hotel room is quite spacious.

Uneven road and all the fencing around the property makes it seem unwelcoming and the entrance to the property is kind of confusing and uninvited
