This is a very honest review of our stay at The Seven Luxembourg (although this is actually a 30 min drive from Luxembourg centre). The entrance is a little “quirky” maybe a little neglected? Particularly parking area. Reception and restaurant are exactly as you see on the PR shots, very nice. We booked a “Deluxe Double” at €304 for 2 nights. We were on the 4th floor with a reasonable view over the top of the trees. The room itself 🥹 very aged and worn, you can see this from my pictures. The pillows were very odd, but I asked for more the next day and we slept much better the 2nd night. I feel it is necessary to say the rooms are most definitely not 4 star. Marjorie, I believe the assistant manager was extremely helpful and works very hard, tbh all of the staff were very nice. The restaurant was fabulous food was fantastic and most definitely a very different experience from the residential part of the hotel. My husband considered the hammam which we were shown around, this is not readily available you must book, €10 euros to use and €30 if you would like sole use. It is very basic and a bit like being in a dull cellar 🥹

We had a room in the tower and it was really lovely with a superb shower and very funky. The restaurant served a very good high end meal, the chef is clearly talented. Staff were very nice too. So why only three stars? The location is a bit strange, there is a campsite behind it, (not visible) and to the front the forest views are indeed of a small forrest beyond which is some very large industrial works that can be heard all day and night. Not very loud but a constant background noise of heavy machinery clanking metal and occasional ‘beepers’. When we arrived we seemed to be the only guests, the staff made us welcome and served drinks on the terrace but it had no atmosphere. Breakfast was completely unacceptable given the price of approx. €250 B&B. (The meal was the same amount again). We had to select what we wanted to eat the night before, and what time we wanted breakfast. It was only continental breakfast and if we wanted boiled eggs these were €5 each extra. 😳 We arrived at the appointed time to be told there was no bread or croissant, they were in the oven. They arrived piping hot but undercooked 15 minutes later. The rest of the portion controlled breakfast was served to us on individual trays in reception. When we came to pay our bill we explained breakfast was poor and we did not think we should be charged for it. The poor receptionist apologised but said they had no authority to discount rates and she was alone and could not call a manager either. At night we were given an phone number to call in case of issues so I suspect the hotel is not staffed 24 hours. Our very funky washbasin had a drip, and the hotel had fixed another tap on the end of the first tap to stop it. So you had to unscrew and old fashioned tap, then operate the modern tap, then turn both off again. Reception said to my knew about this.

The room and the hotel location are great, lovely park nearby. Every time we needed something from reception from check in to check out we had to go and find someone from the restaurant, and we also had difficulty paying. Considering the price, I would expect better.

Friendly welcome, stylish ambience, interesting interior design, spacious room... and the highlight was a really good dinner in the Bosque FeVi, on the terrace with a view of the park. We had to "thaw out" the boss and sommelier a bit, but then the communication was really warm and entertaining. A real tip... just not easy to find with the satnav... ;-)))))

Reception was quite cool. It turned out that the (renowned) restaurant was closed (which is not mentioned anywhere, neither on the website, nor on Facebook, etc.). So we could still look for a restaurant in the not so pleasant city center. We did find something and afterwards we were glad that we had not dined at the hotel. Room is spacious and no disturbing noises from outside. Dirty stains on the carpet and on the pale sofa. The hotel must have been hip at the time, but is now in urgent need of an upgrade. No air conditioning. Breakfast was not buffet style (they don't succeed in that, according to their own words) and quite sparse. Literally weak coffee. In short, this is an overpriced hotel that certainly does not deserve four stars.

When we checked into the hotel we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist. The rooms were pleasantly cool despite the 36° outside temperature. The room was nice with an open bathroom and a very good bed. I thought that the fact that we were allowed to tick off/choose our breakfast for the next day, or rather its components, on a sheet of paper, with a very wide selection, was goal-oriented and good against throwaway politics (buffets). In the evening we walked through the architecturally extremely beautiful and appealing restaurant to its terrace, where we were extremely spoiled with culinary delights. Spanish cuisine at its best... we will definitely come back on our next trip through Luxembourg.

Arrived around noon and couldn't eat anything, not even a snack. With a lot of effort we were able to get a coffee. The room was nice, light and sufficiently spacious. Location is very good, completely in the green with private parking. Yet within walking distance of the city center. Be careful with the room side if you want to sleep with the window open. At the front (city side) quite a lot of noise coming up the hill from the city. Dinner nothing to complain about.

What a nice hotel, in the middle of nature. Good rooms with a lovely bed. Very nice detail: an apple on your pillow instead of a candy👌. Very friendly staff and the icing on the cake was a delicious dinner. It won't be long before this restaurant gets a Michelin star. Very well maintained, beautiful tableware, beautiful dishes. Recommended!!!
