Hotel Boutique Las Arenas

We visited this restaurant three times, once for lunch and then for two dinners. Lunch was simple, tortilla and salad. Maria, who served us for both dinner visits, was very friendly and a cheerful and attentive host. She tells all the assembled patrons that as the food is all freshly prepared to order, that it will take longer and she asks them to be patient. It became apparent on night 2 that this wasn't true. The vegetables were exactly the same uniform size, texture and content as the previous night, suggesting that they are frozen. My fish on the first evening was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Our second dinner was not so good. The fish I ordered with identical veg from the previous night, was not good and I ended up being violently sick all night. At the time of year, there are very few restaurants open serving freshly cooked food, so it was disappointing.

Excellent small hotel. Just yards from ferry to Ibiza, Formentera and S. Eulalia. Also very near Hippy Market. Rooms were excellent. Staff smiling always. There is a cafe and restaurant as part of the building. Overall superb place. I will be back!

We have stayed many times all over Es Canar but never had anywhere any better than here! Superb place, spotlessly clean, well equipped, a genuine proper comfy bed (rare in our experience!) and friendly staff too. Great food and restaurant too! Totally and completely recommended, absolutely brilliant!

Had to wait for owner to check in and then she checked in another 2 before me even though I had been waiting for about an hour. Room was clean and pleasant but only a window which overlooked Jacaranda lounge which unfortunately was noisy. The roof terrace was a nice area to sit and I walked to Cala Nova which is lovely. The town beach was riddled with cigarette butts and plastic bottles didn’t look at all nice. I had brekkie at the Las Arenas restaurant which was lovely fresh fruit and avocado and tomato toast. I also had the Galician Octopus in evening. Unfortunately the room over restaurant and street was noisy on Monday night at 1 pm there was a child screaming and playing I could hear him saying Papa Papa ! I had to open the bedroom window and shout at them to go away. If you are young and want a cheap place to stay it will be ok but it wasn’t for me

Be aware: my reservation was canceled a week prior (the email went to the spam folder and I realized one day before the stay). I made a booking over 4 months ago for a two-night stay. A day prior to arrival, I actually contacted the hotel to inquire about the check-in time. That’s when I got to know that my reservation was cancelled. After multiple phone calls to a third party (booking .com) and to the hotel itself, we managed to know that someone called with a complete name, booking number and PIN number (!) to cancel this reservation. I was baffled cause I was the only one who got all this info and did not make this alleged phone call. I was told at first that the hotel was full and that since my booking was cancelled a week prior, we couldn’t get no money back. While struggling to get another accommodation for 6 people that same day, I was referred to another hotel. After few hours the people at the hotel told me that they could provide, at the same price, a room for 3 people (instead of 2 rooms for 6, as per the original reservation). After loads of back and forth (including telling them that I would resort to a lawyer, if needed) I was refunded in full. Due to the outraged prices we had to stay in Formentera instead of Ibiza as we initially planned, cause the prices were more than triple the amount. 

 So please be careful with your booking with this unprofessional hotel. Clearly this is a case of hotel using all kind of excuses to kick out earlier bookings that were secured at better rates (also because of the uncertainty of the pandemic and the free movement within states etc.). If you really need to stay here, please write/call them several times to confirm your arrival and make sure they don’t cancel on you last minute, during high season! Good luck!!

Absolutely loved this hotel! Amazing roof terrace, lovely breakfast! So helpful! Spotless! SOO clean! Perfect! Views across the ocean and lots of shops, restaurants and bars close by. I will definitely be back
